I was awakened by the light coming through my bare face. It's almost 7.
I don't feel alive at all. I don't know what's happening to me, but I don't want to go to class and I'd prefer to stay here all day.
I took my time taking a shower. I didn't care if I will be late for class. I just can't do it this time-being productive. Thoughts inside my head start flashing. 'If I was not traumatized most times: by my mother, by men, by my friends before, will I be able to live a happy life: a life that's not full of hatred, anger, and angst?'
But if I continued being a naive, innocent, forgiving girl, I'd probably not come to this point in my life. I'll probably not become a strong independent woman... and a mad woman.
Just stop the bullshit, and go back to your senses, Allison. This is not you. Fuck it.
I arrived at school a little bit late. But thank God, our professor is not yet here. Minutes passed and he had entered the room. This is our psychology class. Right. Its timing is perfect. Really perfect. I got to be motivated on cursing bad words.
He explained to us this goddamn game called 'Paper Mouth Game'. I decided to just not join because aside from I'm not really in the mood, this game is freaking gross. Just imagine how gross that game is.
Not until he said something onto my face. “Miss Monroe, why aren't you going to your position?”
“I won't like to join, Sir,” I answered, stopping myself from rolling my eyes at him. He's so unfair! This is inhumane!
“You'll join, or I'll drop you off my class, Miss Monroe? It's your choice.” What a motherfucking jerk. I haven't responded yet but here he goes, pushing me to go to hell. “Ah! I know where to place you. You'll be beside Mr. Javier. Mr. Javier, dito ka,” he pointed where the other devil is standing. How fun! Two devils joining forces to piss me off. And I am so pissed off I'd like to rip their skin off their bones. Fuck it again.
Everything was not going well, especially when the time came that Javier will pass the paper onto my lips.
Silence filled the room.
Until he made it.
I meant, he made it—by dropping the paper off his lips and making our lips meet for seconds.
I was in total shock.
“What the-?!” These are the words that came out of my mouth when I recovered. I also pushed him away from me.
He remained dumbfounded. Idiotic fool.
“Oops... Since Ms. Monroe and Mr. Javier didn't make it, let's start again. Go back to your positions, students.” Our professor's words made me burst into rage.
“This is bullshit!” There, I have said the words I've been consuming since our class started.
Too bad, another professor went inside the room and heard me curse.
She looked at me straight in the eye, and said, “Hmm. Looks like someone here is being disrespectful to her professor.” She said those words full of pride and authority.
“She's the new student here, Mrs. David, she won't do it again.” He was so sure of his words, that's why I proved him wrong.
“No. It was not my intention to disrespect him. I was just telling the truth. Is telling the truth disrespectful now, Ma'am?” I was also giving her sharp stares. Enough for her to know that I'm not scared of her presence.
