Alex's POV...

I had a great Christmas because of these two soon-to-be couples. Ric's just the type of guy that 's good for my best friend.

I could feel and see how sincere he is on his intentions. 'Aren't you deceived once by those handsome looks and intentions before, Alex?' My subconscious leered over me.

Pssshhh. That was quite a low blow and too much generalization of all men in the universe. Not all men are cut from the same cloth.

I do believe in that, Andrew made me realized that thing. That's one of the things I'm grateful for.

He'd changed me for good. Made me realize to see the positive side of things. He's the one that brought meaning to my life after Nate's abandonement.

The one that I have only loved. I just realized that now. I thought that what I had for Nate before was love. But I was just merely fascinated on him.

Add to the fact that we're childhood friends and our parents are intact too. So, what am I going to feel then, right?

Of course, we always see each other and we're good company for each other so it's a good sign for us to commit in a romantic relationship when we grew up.

But Nate's out of the question now. He's out, totally out. Andrew's the issue now, and I have to think deeply about our situation.

When we were playing, Ric seems to be bothered by something else. He's not paying all his attention in the game.

"Penny for your thoughts?" I asked out of curiousity.

He almost jumped. Bree was also startled at my question. She looked up at me and then to Ric.

"Huh? What's wrong, Alex?" Bree asked confuse on what I'm up to.

Bree's so oblivious when Ric's next to her. Hindi man lang ba niya nahalata na hindi gaanong nakatuon ang atensyon ni Ric sa laro namin? He's in deep thought.

I don't want to guess. I don't trust my rational self right now. Baka kung ano pa ma-conclude ko and mess this moment.

"He seems in deep thought and his mind is off somewhere else. I don't know what is it about but I guess, we have to know. Am I right, Ric?" I probed at him.

My eyes scanned his whole physique then rest on his eyes where he quickly averts. What's wrong with you, Ric?

You're acting so strange. Does this have to do with Bree? No, don't be like Andrew's shit.

"Well..amm.. I just..hmm..how to say this?" He said with hesitations.

"Say it, Ric. Pinapakaba mo naman ako e." Bree interrupted, tears threatening to fall.
