Pt 17 - The ship wreck

The next morning, the five pogues took off into the water, towards the continental shelf

"All right, JJ. Pin it here" John B shouted to the blonde who was driving the boat

"Roger that! X marks the spot" he shouted back, the boat coming to a stop

"All right, ladies and gentlemen" Emma said, holding up the drone over the water, "To going full Kook" and she dropped the drone into the sea as it started to sink down

Pope was in charge of directing the drone. Kie was in charge of letting down the tether as Emma kept count of how deep it was. John B was making sure they stayed at the right coordinates and JJ was steering the ship.

"All right, JJ, we're right over it. Ten seconds northwest" John B shouted, directing the boy over the point marked

"Got it! Ten seconds northwest" the blonde shouted back, turning the steering wheel

"One hundred feet" Emma shouted out, marking it down on the side of the boat

Suddenly, Pope let out a loud gasp, catching the attention of all four Pogues. "What? What, what, what, what?" John B shouted, rushing to Pope's side

"It's nothing" Pope said back, realising it was just a fish, John B groaned and moved back to his original place

"Sorry, I thought..." Pope started to say

"Don't do that to me, man. Come on, bro!" JJ said from the steering wheel, looking back at Pope

"My bad. I just thought I saw..." Pope apologised again. Everyone was quiet for a moment before Pope said again, "And to quote The Hobbit, "Down, down, to Goblin Town. Down, down, you go, my lad."

Emma looked back at Pope at his words, an amused look on her face before turning back to the tether

"Four hundred feet!" She shouted out to the group

Thunder could be heard rumbling in the distance, Emma and Kie looked at each other as they noticed the drone moving in a different direction

"The tide's turning" Kie shouted out, informing the group of their problem

John B's monitor started beeping, signalling that the boat is moving away from the coordinates

"Hey, JJ, Ten seconds easy. South-southeast" he shouted out to the blonde

"Copy that!" He replied, moving the boat around

"JJ, 20 seconds mid-speed, all right? South" John B shouted again, the wind starting to pick up

"Copy that! Aye, aye. Come on" the blonde replied. "Keep the tether out of the prop!" He shouted back to Kie as the drone continued to drift away from the girls

"I'm trying!" Kie shouted back, having a death grip on the tether

"JJ, keep going!" John B shouted back to his friends as the thunder became louder in the distance 

"John B, is that good?" JJ shouted back,

"We're good!" He informed the boy

"Okay, 700 feet!" Emma shouted. The thunder a lot louder now, causing both Emma and John B to look in the incoming storms direction, looking at each other after, the same anxious look on both their faces

"Okay..." JJ said to himself, being thrown around in the steering room due to the waves picking up. The wind was blowing stronger now and thunder was climbing towards them. "Hey, be careful out there" JJ shouted back, looking at one girl in particular
