'its bloody hot tonight. What time is it?' jaylah looked at the clock. 'eleven thirty. Argh. Nah fuck it' jaylah quickly got changed and walked out of her room. Avoiding the bar, jaylah walked down to the beach. 'that moon light on the water is stunning. This place is heaven' slowly walking into the water, jaylah kept an eye on her surroundings. 'two men. One on either side. They are Marshalls men. I guess there is always men on patrol' taking in the coolness of the water, jaylah moved to chest high deep. Standing in the water, jaylah took in the peacefulness. No one around, no kids squealing. No men trying to chat up women and not a sound, bar the slight movement in the water.
'shes in the water and on her own?' marshall walked down to the waters edge. 'under the moon light, she looks even more beautiful' marshall removed his shoes and socks and his shirt, leaving his shorts on and slowly walked in. Hearing a slight movement in the water, jaylah turned. Seeing marshall walking her way, she kept eye contact with him. 'holy crap does he look good' "jaylah" "marshall" marshall showed an affectionate smile as he kept his eyes on jaylahs "I didn't think you would be out here" "I seen an exceptional woman all on her own and thought why not give her company" "and if she didn't want some?" "Then I hope I changed her mind" jaylah showed a small grin "maybe. How long have you owned this?" "My parents owned it for many years and I took it over after they passed" "you grew up here?" "Holidays but I fell in love with it" "I can see why. It's picturesque" marshall moved closer, pushing the single strand of jaylahs long blonde hair behind her ear "this one is even better" "I heard no one turns you down" "I don't chase women jaylah" "that's not what I heard" "then I guess that person was wrong. I'm not here to entertain anyone. I'm here for the island, for my men and to make sure everything runs smoothly like my parents did" "so you aren't here for anyone else?" "It's a business" "and you mix it?" "No. Never. But why are you allowing me close when I don't have green eyes?" 'Fucking Bennett' "I don't have the power to overpower you" "you already have" jaylah looked into Marshalls brown eyes "I don't see how" "being you. I admit it, I have women throw themselves at me but I wasn't interested. You are different and I want you" "I'm not here to be played marshall. I don't care about you being a boss or that you own this island. That doesn't mean anything to me" "I already know that. If it did, i wouldn't be the one chasing" jaylah internally grinned 'yeah well I don't chase' marshall looked between jaylahs eyes and lips. "I'm giving you the opportunity"  marshall connected his lips with jaylahs as his hands moved to her ass and lifted her up. Jaylah wrapped her legs around him as they both deepened the kiss. 'fuck I'm screwed. His kiss, his touch, his looks, his personality and he accepts the guys' breaking for air, marshall assaulted jaylahs neck "spend the night with me?" Marshall looked into jaylahs bright blue eyes "okay" marshall grinned as he moved to suck on jaylahs bottom lip "mmm. Yeah I'm definitely happy with that answer" jaylah internally grinned "a drink?" "I need to go get changed" "then I will join you" "if you would like too" 'oh I'm not letting her get away now' both exiting the water, Marshall grabbed his belongings and walked with jaylah to her room. "Two more days?" "Yes then I will go to the mainland and find furniture" "it's fully furnished" "that makes things easier" jaylah entered her room with marshall. Grabbing a change of clothes, jaylah removed hers while marshall never removed his eyes away from her as she got undressed and dressed again. 'im screwed. This woman is nothing but perfection. She may have scars from her past but I plan to cherish her and make her feel incredible. She will be my queen and no one will treat her otherwise. Her mates being an exception. I know they treat her right, they all just mess around' "the bar?" "No. I have drinks in my house" "alright then I'm ready" exiting the room, marshall and jaylah walked to his house.
"Fancy" Marshall grinned "its like a bachelor pad inside" "wouldn't expect anything else" marshall grinned as he opened the door. Both walking inside, jaylah took in her surroundings. "A scotch?" "Please" "tell me how did those men come about?" "First it was kalem. Kalem and emit are best mates. They went in there together.." "he means a lot to you?" "More than anything. When he died, I shut down" marshall showed a slight nod "your brother killed my sister" "why?" "He wanted my land but he failed. He did kill her but he ran" jaylah showed a slight nod "I'm sorry for your loss" "and yours" "thanks".
"The rest?" "Well at the start it was kalem, emit and Christophe" "and where is this Christophe?" "With Bronx. He made a mistake and I won't forgive him for it" "just like that vex guy?" "Yes. You cross me, we are done" "and when you went back, were you planning to give Bronx another chance?" "no. He's no exception. I went back for Zaire, Tyson and emit" "not Clyde?" "Clyde and I are friends" "but not like the other three?" "No. Kalem, Rey, emit, Tyson and Zaire have always been there for me. Clyde and I only became friends after I got out of jail" marshall clenched his hands at the thought of them having her in there. "You said bronxs nephew?" "Yes. Great kid. Was only six years old. I was friends with his mother too but it's best I don't contact her now" "Bronxs sister or sister in-law?" "In law. Tyson had always been there.." "wait emit said he worked in the cells?" "Yeah.. first day I went in, he was the one to whip me.." "WHAT?" "Look it was his job. I don't hate him for it. From there kai took over. Emit hates himself for it" "his job or not.." "no. It was do the job or die. Emit wants to live" marshall took a deep breath "okay, so you don't hate him?" "Far from. He's a good guy, was just put in that job" marshall showed a slight nod "this Rey?" Jaylah put her head down "he didn't get a chance to walk away. Clyde said he's down. My guess he flipped his shit And Lucian shot him" "you don't think Bronx did?" "No" "why?" Jaylah shrugged "I know Lucian can be trigger happy. He didn't like these guys" "why not?" "He couldn't accept that they are only my brothers. Everytime they touched me, he threatened to kill them. He shot tyson" "Tyson was touching you?" "Zaire and kalem. Kalem had his arms over my shoulders while Zaire sat on my lap" marshall let a small laugh slip "didn't get squished?" "Nah he wasnt putting his full weight on me. Lucian must've said something that Tyson didn't like and Tyson didn't hold back" "outspoken?" "Just like all of us, he didn't give a shit" marshall grinned "he did about you though" "as I did him. I knew he did. He wouldn't have risked his life to help me in jail if he didn't" "if only I could thank him" jaylah had some of her drink "that celena?" "Craved my attention. Didn't get it. Sorry for what she did" "Zaire is going to get his ass kicked. Nothing worse than a cold shower" marshall chuckled as he walked around the bench and up to jaylah putting his arms over her shoulder as she faced him "you needed it" "yeah I already knew I was drugged. That's why I got Zaires attention" "well she paid for it. I fired her" "and brought in a woman that likes the same sex" marshall showed a cheeky grin "well I didn't know she likes you. But If I get my way. no will have you, Bar me and I suppose I will have to share you with atleast three of them" "atleast three?" "Tyson, emit and Zaire" "yeah I don't think any of us would be happy if you try pulling the shit my brother did" "it won't happen. I know they are family and nothing else. Plus your closest brother likes one of my men" jaylah grinned "I'm really happy for him" "and what about for yourself?" "Yeah I'm in a good headspace" "so why have you still got the music playing in your ear?" "It's not. Just didn't remove the ear pod" jaylah removed the ear pod as marshall moved to kiss jaylahs neck then her lips 'yeah I don't plan to let her go' 'he tastes good. Really good'.
