It was Christmas morning and I was lying in Chaeyoung's bed who I'd only known for a handful of days. Usually something like that would be a bit scary and quite possibly insane sounding but for some reason, whether it be the almost chemical connection our bodies shared or the strange dependent bond that was forming between us, I wasn't sure.

All I knew was I couldn't get enough of her, I needed her presence beside me, needed her reassuring touches and heated glances.

I'd read novels and stories of couples falling in love in a matter of days or even instantly and though they were cute and I tended to enjoy them, I never really gave much credibility to them.

I mean really, how can love form when you barely even know the person? Love takes time, trust, learning everything about each other, passion and compatibility right? At least this is what I'd always thought.

Maybe it was time to reassess this theory.

I reach my hand out to the side where Chaeyoung usually was lying down beside me and come up empty, my hands grasping nothing but the sheets.

I open my eyes and sure enough she wasn't there. I bolt upright, swiveling my head around the room till I spot her sitting in a chair in the corner of the room.

She was turn towards me, her hands steepled beneath her chin as she stares at me. She had a far away look in her eyes and I wonder if she was thinking about her dream last night.

"Merry Christmas" I say with a smile in hopes of cheering her up a bit.

"Merry Christmas" she answers but the look didn't disappear from her face. I watch her take a heavy breath before speaking again.

"There's something I want to tell you but it wouldn't be right for me to tell you without telling you something else first and that something else well I'm not sure I'm ready to tell you about yet."

My mind work to follow what she was saying, my lips silently repeating her words as it confusing till it make sense.

"Then just tell me when you are ready" I respond and I feel relief when she smiles slightly.

"I'm surprised you're still here after last night" she remove her hands from below her chin to rub them nervously over her messy hair.

"You can't get rid of me that easily" I answer while reaching my hand out towards her, beckoning her to join me.

Chaeyoung's form uncurls itself from the chair and start walking towards me. The bed dip as she places one knee and then the other on the side, crawling towards me.

She kisses me, her lips were gentle and sweet as they caress mine.

"There's no place I'd rather be than here with you on Christmas" I whisper in her ear before slipping my arms around her neck and pulling her down on top of me.

I held her like that, my fingers sifting through her raven locks while her arms wrap themselves around me and held me tight.

After several minutes Chaeyoung lift herself up to hover over, smiling own at me as she says "It's time for some hot chocolate. Christmas doesn't officially start until we've had a cup."
