Back (Chapter 24)

Victoria comes back a week later and I get a text from Max.

'Hey sis! It's been a while! Can I stop by? -Max'

'Sure Max! I can't wait! -Eleanor'

'Is 3:00 tomorrow ok? -Max'

'Yeah! That's perfect! -Eleanor'

I can't wait to see my sister again. It's been a few months.

I drive to the Cullens while Victoria is at a work interview.

I walk inside and see Renesmee and Edward playing the piano. Bella says that her nickname is Ness. Ness looks about 7 years old now. We don't know how much time she has left.

"Hey El." Carlisle says. He grabs my waist from behind and kisses my cheek.

"Hey Carlisle." I say kissing him back. "Max is coming to visit tomorrow."

"Really? That's amazing!" Carlisle says.

"Right? It's so exciting!" I say.

At 2:30 the next day, Victoria is at her job as a cashier while I am waiting for Max to get here. There is a knock on the door. I run and open it. It's just the mail.

30 minutes later, there is a knock on the door. I open it and Max and Jacob are standing there.

"Max!" I say. I hug Max.

"Hey Jacob!" I say. "Come in guys!"

"El! I've missed you so much!" Max says.

"I've gotta go meet Sam at the Rez. I'll be back later." Jacob says. He kisses Max on the cheek and leaves.

Max and I are talking on the couch. Max holds out her hand.

"You've got a ring!!" I say. "It's so pretty!"

"Jacob proposed last week." Max says.

"I'm so happy for you Max." I say. "We should go to the Cullen's!"

"Yes! Let's go!" Max says.

I haven't told Max about Ness yet.

We get there and knock on the door. Jasper opens it.

"Hey Max!" Jasper says.

"Hey Jasper!" Max says.

We walk into the living room and everyone says hi to Max.

"Who's this?" Max asks. She looks at Renesmee.

"Well, long story, but somehow, Edward got me pregnant and we had Renesmee." Bella says.

"How long ago?" Max asks.

"A few weeks ago. She's growing fast. We don't know how much time we'll have left with her." Edward says.

We talk for a while and then head back to my house.

"Well, I have to go meet Jake at the Rez. I'll see you around." Max says. She hugs me and leaves.

A week later, Max and Jacob have their wedding at the Rez and then they leave to go live in Seattle.

Victoria can afford an apartment a few hours away so she moves out of my house. It's much quieter and lonelier now that Carlisle has gone back to work after his break. I just graduated so I don't have to be in school anymore.

It's a Tuesday and I'm just chillin on the couch watching some Cobra Kai when there is a knock on the door.

I answer it.

"Hey Eleanor, we're back."

My eyes widen in shock. Is this real?!?
