"Eeeeeee!" Odwin squealed in excitement as he began writing down in his bard magic book "so bard magic can work on plants."

Skara giggled at his reaction, she found it cute how he gushes over every new discovery. She tried shaking those thoughts away knowing that Odwin can read minds.

"What's the limit to your ou control over them?" Asked Odwin with the biggest smile he could muster "can you give me an estimate?"

Odwin and Skara were now sitting in the area around Blight manor, trying to fill up the pages of Odwin's bard magic book.

Skara, who was holding a violin began playing slowly, causing the plants to grow and move around to her will "I suppose if i practice enough-" she said before stopping to look at her work with the plants "-i could control them just like a plant coven witch."

It didn't take a second before Odwin began writing it down, causing Skara to chuckle; gaining Odwin's attention.

"You know? Learning this stuff with you makes me regret being so competitive before." Said Skara with a weak smile "i gave up a lot of instruments and it would've been nice to show them off here"

"Wait, gave up instruments?"

"To try and...beat you, i believed i needed to be more focused." Said Skara as her weak smile fell "i took the one i was best at and got myself used to the strings. Then i moved to similar instruments."

"Is that why you only play instruments with strings?" Asked Odwin tilting his head and Skara nodded "well, why not pick them again? If i can practice magic other than oracle for fun, you can practice other instruments for fun too."

Skara smiled at that, but before she could say anything Odalia called.

"Odwin Blight, come inside now!" She said in an angry tone before quickly going back inside "there's something we need to talk about."

"I think I'm in trouble" said Odwin in confusion

"What did you do?" Asked Skara in concern and Odwin just shrugged

"I don't know if we'll be able to hang out tomorrow" said Odwin awkwardly "Maybe we can continue tomorrow at school?"

"Yeah, that'd be good. How about lunch at bard class?" Asked Skara cheerfully

"Great, see you then" said Odwin with an awkward smile

Skara waved with a smile as she began walking in reverse, keeping her eyes on Odwin as she moved.

Before Odwin could give his own gesture of goodbye, Skara tripped and fell inside a bush. Odwin, in a panic, quickly summoned a spirit that lifted Skara up from the ground before setting her back down on her feet.

"Uh, my bad" Said Skara flushing with an embarrassed smile as she got the dirt off her clothes. "Thanks for that"

"No problem!" Said Odwin as he gave Skara a thumbs up

Skara replied with her own thumbs up before finally making it out successfully.

The moment Skara left, Odwin looked at Blight manor. He didn't do anything that'd warrant punishment from his mother so he was confused as to why his mother was calling for him.

He looked through his mind for whatever could've possibly angered his mother and came up with nothing.

Odwin shrugged and headed inside to see his entire family gathered in one place.
