Lost Ones Pt.1

Jazmine POV

I woke up with a banging headache and puffy eyes, from crying i guess.

"Damn hormones. " i thought to myself.

I looked around the house for Jalen, but he was no where to be found.

I looked at my phone.

" FUCK.!"

I forgot i had a appointment.

I called my OBGYN and told him that i had went out of town and forgot i had a appointment. He said he knew another OBGYN in the Bahamas and i could go there. I agreed.

At the doctor office i waited patiently until my name was called.

"Jazmine Holloway." The nurse called .

I walked to the door and she introduced herself as Emily with a smile.

I followed her to the ultrasound room after she checked the basics. She put the cold jelly on my tummy and i watched as she moved the camera around looking for my baby heartbeat.

"How many months are you Mrs. Holloway?"

"3."

"Huh." She replied suprised.

I started to ask her why she say it like that, but the sound of my baby heartbeat made me forget.

A tear slipped my eye when i heard my baby's heartbeat through the monitor.

"I wish Jalen was here." I thought to myself.

"There it is. Wanna know your due date?" She said with a smile on her face.

"Yes."

"June 13." She replied.

Another tear trailed down my cheek, followed by another one.

Thats the day my grandpa died.

"I have a few questions."

"Yes?" I replied caught in my thoughts.

"Do you take your vitamins?"

"Yes."

"Faithfully?"

"Yes."

"Are you stress?" She asked looking at me.

I looked down at my stomach.

"A little, why?"

"Your baby is extremely under weight. I have to increase your Mg on your vitamins and you need to eat more."

"Where is your husband?"

"Uh- uh- he's working. He'll be at the next appointment." I lied

"I will love to meet him." She replied.

"Ok mama." She said while wiping the jelly off my belly.

"You're all set. Heres your prescription, here's my number and last,but not least here's your baby first pictures."

I thanked her and then got into my car and went home.
