"Rose, I'm going to have to leave now." She looked over at me and watched me put my phone in my purse.

"Alright. Good luck."

"Thank you Rose. I'll be needing all the luck I can get. He said 'please' twice."

"It sounds really urgent. Maybe something else happened?"

"Knowing him, yes."

"Wait. Who are you talking about?" We both looked over at the sniffling blonde whom we momentarily forgot about.

"Karkat."

"So you're going to see him right now?"

"Yes I am. Did you want me to say anything?" He opened his mouth to say something, but just sighed instead.

"No. There's nothing I could say that could help."

"Dave, I know you made a mistake and you feel terrible about it, but everyone makes a mistake like that. And I know Karkat, he might not seem like it, but he's extremely forgiving. Just let me talk to him. It'll be ok, trust me."

"Yeah. Thanks Kan." I smiled and gave the both of them a hug before heading off to the park.This definitely has been an eventful day.

Once I got to the park I immediately looked for Karkat. Which wasn't that hard, he was sitting on the bench staring off at the swing set.He seemed to be thinking about something.

"Karkat?"

"Hmm? Oh. Hey Kanaya." He looked up at me; his eyes were still distant, like he was still thinking about whatever. I smiled at him and sat on the bench next to him.

"So, what's on your mind?"

"John."

"John? The one that's always dressed in blue?"

"Yep."

"Why are you thinking of him?"

"I went over his house after school just to calm down, and somehow I ended up kissing him."

"Oh. Isn't he dating that spider obsessed girl though?"

"Vriska, yeah. I don't think it was intended. He leaned in first. It may have been a 'in the moment' kind of thing."

"That's odd. I would never expect him to make the first move. Even if it wasn't intentional."

"Yeah me too. But I also have that issue with Dave to deal with."

"Yes, you do. How are you feeling about that?"

"I don't know. I know he didn't do it on purpose, I instigated the situation. But I feel like it'd happen again because I'm more than likely going to cause another problem."

"Karkat, don't think like that. You're both so torn up about this. I think you should just talk it out with him and you'll be fine."

"I can't do that. I don't know why, but I feel like I did last year with Terezi."

"I understand that, but you can't let it get to you like you did before."

"I know. I'm trying not too. It's hard though. I just don't know what to do right now."

"I know, just think about it. I'm sure you'll find a solution to this soon."

"Yeah. I hope I do, I don't want to dragged down again."

"I wouldn't want you too either. You know what'll help?"

"What?"

"A sundae."

"Can we please?"

"Yes we can, let's go."

first, sorry for being a bit late, needed some time to finish writing got caught up with writing an essay for school at the same time

second, what in the actual fuck is up with this new writing thing wattpad has, i dont like it. just no.....i write everything in google docs before it publish on here, so i usually copy and paste and have no issue. but no, with this new set up, i had to re-add every enter to the texting bit, because it was just one big paragraph, find all my italics, (glad it was just one) and fix a few other things....like wtf wattpad no. dont do this to me. it used to be such a simple copy and paste process, now its just so complicated ugh

welp...rant over...hope you enjoyed the chapter, even though it was a bit short. (and btw next chapters a crappy flashback)
