4 Months Later

Lee was released from the hospital two weeks after she was shot but no one was charged with her shoot out. She told police it was an accident and that she had did it to herself. She couldnt even get charged with possession of a concealed weapon because she had her license to carry. After our breakup at the hospital she left me alone for about a week then i started recieving phone calls and texts, most of them threathening me and harassing me about me leaving her. The bitch was deffinitely crazy. I decided to move houses and get something bigger since hayden decided that because were bestfriends and that night was a wakeup call we should be "bestie-roommates" i laughed at her way of putting it but she had a point so i went along with it. So far its been great. I didnt hear from clide or lisa after that night, hayden decided to smarten up and has now chosen to stay single and not fuck around untill shes found a man to be committed to. Im proud of her but i dont know how long thats really going to last.
Ive been having fun being around jenia. She keeps me safe, even though shes just a real close friend now my heart is falling for her. She treats me so nice, shes truthful, real and something about her makes me smile from ear to ear. Theres not a bad day for me when shes around. I guess her and hayden had known each other for a while and it surprised me that i never met her until the day of clides party. Hayden explained to me how she had met jay threw clide. Clide and her where bestfriends back in middle and high school but once he got with lisa he became a dad and went his own way but kept hayden around as just a fuck or someone to lean on when him and lisa were going threw it. Lee had came into the picture when i met her and introduced her to hayden and since hayden was kicking it with jay thats how jay knew so much about lee and how hayden knew so much about clide and lisa. In the end its a small circle that all adds up but there was so much that i didnt know and was kind of pissed at my own bestfriend for keeping secrets from me like that but she claimed it was for the best so i left it alone.

"Hey babes." Hayden said cheerfully as i was walking out the bathroom after taking a shower and getting dressed.
"I was thinking that tonight we go hang out at jay's crib, have a couple drinks and just chill. Todays actually her birthday and she didnt want a party or anything so she invited a couple people to her house for a "social gathering".
"How come i didnt know about her birthday untill now?" I was shocked completely, jay had told me some things about her life, not much detail, but now come to think of it, she never told me her birthday, about her parents, not even if she had siblings. She focused most of our conversations on me, or hayden and there fun times together.
"Ok let me let you in on something, jay has a long history behind her and lets just say holidays and birthdays she likes to pretend are just another regular day so thats why. Dont tell her i told you, ive seen you two getting real close, shell come around and open up more i promise. One thing i know that you know is shes feeling you hard. She called me this morning and after she told me about the "social gathering" we talked about you girl-" I cut her off.
"Why are youse talking about me? And first of all yes i knew jay had a thing for me but she also respects the way i have chosen things for us because of my "past" and the timing. Im not ready for committment. I love being with her she gives me butterflies but i dont know, the times just off." I started to space, imaginning what it would be like to have a girlfriend, maybe even wife like jay. Once again i started smiling, there were no cons only pros and i liked that.
"Listen bishhhh! The time aint off you just scared!" She started laughing histerically like she had just made a stand up comic joke.
"But no seriously, give her a chance and more then just friends and if not now to be exact soon. The girls real deal no joke."
"I hear you hayden but let me do things my way please, i have strong feelings for her i really do, i just need to be confident within myself and find myself before i start a new chapter in my life."
"Alright alright i hear ya, i wont say no more. But anyway back to the party."
"Thought it wasnt a party it was a "social gathering!" I mimicked her while laughing.
"You know what i meant. She wants to have it around 10, we can bring our own bottles and shit, shes going to have some of her own but just incase she dont drink what we do we can pregame like usual. But the real question is what are we gonna wear?" Hayden started to give me that im your bestfriend who loves to spend money on clothes that we have a ton of just because shopping is awesome look. I wasnt falling for it. Plus with a two bedroom condo and all the bills, and car payments money was tight. My job and her job managed to make things work out fine. I was not about to start fucking shit up and getting into debt or ruining credit for her habit. Nice new clothes, perfumes, and all that shit were marvelous but it wasnt needed when we had so much already.
"NO! Go look in my closet for something you havent worn or havent seen before or something, itll make you feel like your shopping!" She pouted and stuck up the finger and walked away.
"Yeah i love you to!" I shouted back.
My mind was racing, i deffinitely had plans of my own that i wanted to keep a secret. I was going to show jay a real birthday weather she liked it or not.
