Meetings (Ch.5)

I follow the Cullen's to a big house in the mountains.

"This is our place." Emmett says.

"This place is badass!" I say.

Emmett laughs. We all walk inside and head to the kitchen.

The doctor and his wife are in there. We all sit down in the living room.

"So Elizabeth, what are you?" Carlisle asks.

"Let me tell you my story." I say. "I don't remember any of my childhood. I have dreams about it sometimes but that's it. I died apparently at the age of 10. At age 17, I broke out of a grave and a vampire told me that she bit me when I died and the transformation took 7 years. After that, I was taken and experimented on by other vampires and they made me a hybrid, half human half vampire. I am 176 years old I think." I finish my story.

"I didn't think that was possible. What else do you remember from your childhood?" Carlisle asks.

"Hospitals. Lots and lots of hospitals. I think I used to live in Texas with a twin brother but I died from being bitten from a snake I think." I say.

"Interesting." Carlisle says.

I explain to them what I can do and where I live. They explain that they are vampires.

I fall asleep on their couch a few hours later.

I am woken up by Jasper.

"Hey Elizabeth, wake up. We have school." Jasper says.

"Ugh, fine." I say.

I get up and ride to school with the Cullen's.

I go through the whole school day and I sit with the Cullens at lunch. They are the first friends I ever had. Besides my twin. He's dead though.

After the final bell rings, I walk out to the parking lot, put in my earbuds and I start walking to the Cullen's truck. I need to get my bike out of the bed of the truck.

After I get it, I start riding into the woods. The woods are better than the road in my opinion. I am a mile or two away from my cabin and someone jumps at me and takes me right off of my bike.

"Owww, what was that for?" I ask. There is nobody there. "Hello?" I ask.

Someone tackles me and bites into my neck. She has long red hair. She covers my mouth and sucks some blood. She leaves me there in the woods when she's done. I scream but no sound comes out. Everything goes black.
