"I got an internship in Seol" As she relayed the news to him, Taehyung stood up from his chair and gave her a bear hug congratulating her for her accomplishment. A crucial milestone in her life was achieved and Taehyung had a big part in making it possible therefore she couldn't stop expressing her gratitude.
Taehyung had dedicated a great amount of time and effort so that she could land an internship that could boost her career. He would stay up late till night, search for the opening and post that matched her skill sets, prepare a CV for her as well as write the cover letter's to be sent to the companies. He had devoted himself to the point he would even do the online skill test on behalf of her and take her trial interview in order to prepare her for the real ones.
"I am proud of you," he told her as they parted away, genuinely happy for her. Finally, his girl would be out of his shadow and explore the world. He was excited for the new chapter of her life and hoped that all the experience she would gain in the new city and her work would help her get over her insecurities and self-doubts.
"I will be leaving in fifteen days, for about three months"
At the revelation, dread gripped his chest because though he was excited for her, the thought of being without her was frightening. For two years, they were attached to the hip, and even after their breakup, he would often find himself waking up in her arms, their bodies tangled with each other and her lips whispering good morning against his bare skin. He was so used to her that sleep would only welcome him if she would play with his hair or gently caress his back.
"You will do great, just carry yourself well. Show your confident side" giving a pat on her back, he encouraged masking the weary emotions swirling in the pit of his stomach and she nodded her head wanting to ask him if for those fifteen days she could be around him more.
She was aware no matter how many days she would spend with him, it wouldn't be enough and when the time to leave would arrive the pain would still be immense. After all, there was a high chance that by the time she would return back, he would no longer need her and maybe even find the solace he was seeking in someone else's arms. Imagining him with someone else was like sinking a knife into her chest and the reality that eventually the day would come, was like death looming over her head; inevitable.
"How do you want to spend these fifteen days?" he questioned since he wanted to make the best out of the remaining days they had together because nothing would be the same after months of separation.
"Nothing fancy, I would be happy just to be around you?" She expressed with honesty. For Saya being beside him was more than enough. After all, Taehyung had the power to transform the four walls of her room into a wonderland and his kiss would turn the world into a magical fairy tale love story.
Contrary to her expectation, Taehyung scoffed hearing her response. His face twisted in grimace not liking her response in the slightest.
"Ironically your response was the same one year ago as well" He had no clue why he was suddenly annoyed but hearing her manage to snap all of his nerves. Maybe the fact that she would be far from him and he had to learn to live without her was finally dawing upon him therefore the fear was causing him to act in a crude way.
"What would you like to do then?" Saya questioned him perceiving the sudden shift in his behavior and that her response had managed to trigger him.
"I mean there are thousands of things we can do together, go on hiking or take a trip but you never showed any interest, and honestly it is very tiring to be the only one to be planning" he brushed her off, no longer interested to have a conversation with her.
"You have to put effort you know to make a relationship interesting, if you would have tried maybe we wouldn't have broken up" Saya rose her head in shock trying to interpret what he was implying through his words.
