Chapter 12.

Two months later...

"Celeste and Lawrence had just taken a risky trip to Australia from Indonesia to ensure they were not located any time soon in Indonesia.

Three weeks after, Lawrence risked a small trip to the local shop for supplies. They were running low and were hungry and slowly adapting to the new climate. Celeste had been cleaning, making beds and food all day for Lawrence, in fact all week, she was exhausted and her pale face was showing signs of ageing. Celeste had once been one of the most beautiful women and now, from endless nights of having no sleep, she was ragged and weak. She fell asleep under the oak trees surrounding her, the dappled light from the sun shining through the trees on her face. When Celeste awoke her thoughts wondered lazily over to Lawrence. LAWRENCE! Celeste sat upright as quick as a flash and was soon scrambling around for her watch. Holy moly! It was three hours after Lawrence had left. He usually took only half an hour, he had gone an two hours and a half overtime. CRAP!

Lawrence did not return for the rest of the day. Celeste had panicked when she had realised the time, then tripped and fallen, hit her head on a rock and passed out. She was unaware of the fact that Lawrence was now in the police station being taken in for questioning. He was handcuffed and was going to be spending 'at least' one night in prison.

At the police station.

"You will be charged for robbery and other criminal acts, these which are yet to be decided," explained a large policeman in a loud booming voice.
"Yes," muttered Lawrence.
"Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court hearing. Do you understand?"
"Yes," Lawrence muttered once again.
"You will be fined and jailed for these offences. You jail sentence is yet to be decided. Do you understand?"
"Yes," Lawrence said, with a deep loathing in his voice.

Meanwhile Celeste was beginning to awaken from being knocked out. As soon as she woke a million questions flooded her mind.
Had Lawrence ratted out her hiding spot? Did the police know where she was? Where was Lawrence? Where was she?
