Celeste

Chapter 15.

Celeste grabbed an old pink bicycle from a rubbish heap nearby, she wearily hopped on and started to peddle. She was soon approaching a steep hill, but did not slow down. Her long red - brown hair flowed out behind her. She felt free as the wind swept through her hair. Why she had ever got herself mixed up in this mess, she did not know? Her life was a wreck all because she had thought she was getting a good income from the steeling. As a matter of fact she would have had just as much money if she had just gotten a job.

Back at the police station Lawrence was just about to tell the police where Celeste was. His mouth formed the words and he slowly let them out.
"Celeste is in the forest, by the old rubbish heap," Lawrence smiled, he was getting out of jail and Celeste was going to take his place.
Around Lawrence several different people began to call others, running round the room frantically.
"Thank-you Lawrence, you will return to your cell, we shall discuss your departure from here this afternoon, we have a very important issue to deal with now though... Celeste..."

Lawrence was led back to his jail cell, many of the other prisoners stared. Lawrence smiled smugly. A few of the others scowled and stalked away, to the back of their cell. Lawrence remained in the jail cell for the rest of the afternoon, until he was called by the 'Head of Department' to sign a good behaviour bond and file some other paperwork. As he left the other prisoners, he smiled and said,
"Won't be seeing you guys soon."
He then marched off, head held high.

Sorry I haven't updated for a while. I'm also sorry it's so short. (I probably say that every time, sorry again).
Hope you enjoy. By the way, I am in no way an expert of any of the criminal and police stuff. I don't think this would happen in real life (Lawrence being let out), but it's just for the purpose of the story, Enjoy. xx
