You were in the middle of offensively blowing away Kaidou's henchmen when you felt his presence disappear.

Immediately, your movements slowed, blood running cold and an ominous feeling running down your spine. You used your Observation consciously this time, making sure, believing that you probably just strayed off your focus and shifted your Haki from focusing on Luffy into a random Beast Pirate. You fell to your knees.

Throughout the fight, you could hear his 'voice', could feel his lifeforce like a comforting weight on your self. Of course, it didn't include hearing the actual events on his perspective, so you had no idea what was going on up there. Back earlier, when he made a similar announcement, you could still sense him faintly, as if he was further away, so you weren't that shaken.

But right now, you couldn't sense him at all.

Right when you started panicking, the whole building shook, and then Kaidou burst through the hole on the roof, his humongous dragon form hovering above all of you. With a booming voice, he demanded. "Where is your leader?! Make that brat, Momonosuke, declare his surrender!!"

What followed made your stomach drop. "STRAW HAT LUFFY IS DEAD!"

The floor instantly roared with various choruses of victorious yells and disbelieving cries. Across the place, the Beast Pirates cheered for Kaidou's victory, while the shocked samurais shook their heads in disagreement.

You heard your fellow crewmates accuse Kaidou of a liar, but you know damn well he ain't. In fact, even he himself looked somewhat disappointed about it.

You pushed yourself up to stand, forcing your feet to walk. Your shock had your body finally caught up with the stress and exhaustion, and every inch of it aches. You leaned against a big piece of debris, looking up hopelessly at the bright moon peeking through the hole from what little you could see past Kaidou.

"This isn't real... there's no damn way," You murmured, tears already starting to swim in your eyes. "Luffy, please..."

You didn't know how much time has passed, but the battle went on and worsened for your side, as Kaidou began raging all over the place with his Blast Breath, while his soldiers gained more confidence to launch themselves at the leaders and worn-out pirate captains. You were hidden, so you were sort of spared from the bloodbath.

Until what you felt like was an eternity, you could suddenly sense him again, but you were confused. There was something strangely different to it that you couldn't put into words. On cue, strong waves of Conquerer's Haki burst from the roof, knocking out your enemies, and a large hand burst through, grabbing hold of Kaidou like a toy snake.

And then you saw him, feeling goosebumps as you stared at him breathlessly like seeing a God.

Even looked like one?

His hair, instead of his raven locks, were glowing bright white swirls and there was a thin smoke around his body. His eyes are now red and looked different, and he had a big smile on his face, which had you smiling along as well.

The relief of seeing him alive overwhelmed you, and you burst into tears while cheering out his name.

"LUFFY!" You cried out happily.
