Delhi
Bulbul was in the kitchen, she heard her mother speaking to an elderly lady.
Nandini asked "aap akeli aayi hai.. Aapka pota nahi aaya?"
The elderly lady smiled at her and said "aap toh janti hai kitna kaam hota hai private job mein.. Aur phir mera puttar toh hai khara sona" she praised her grandchild.
Karan eyed her suspiciously, he asked "Aapke ghar se aur koi nahi aaya?"
"Main aur mera pota hi hai ji.. Mera veeru bas kuch saal ka tha jab uske maa baap ek accident mein guzar gaye.. Tabse maine hi usko paal poske bada kiya hai" she said emotionally.
Nandini glanced at her confusingly "veeru? Aapke pote ka naam toh Siddharth hai na?"
She picked up the samosa and said "haaji.. Par main pyaar usko veeru bulati hun.."
Bulbul sighed deeply, Nandini signaled her to come. Bulbul came out of the kitchen with the tea tray and kept it on the table.
Dadi stared at her from head to toe with a smile on her face. "Haaye ek dum pataka hai ye toh mann kar raha hai abhi uthke gaale laga lun.." she thought in her mind.
She then again came to her old tone and said "bade khubsurat ho ji aap toh puttar ji.. Mere veeru ko bahut pasand ho"
Bulbul eyed her and asked "lekin aapke Veeru hai kahan?"
Nandini pulled her and made her sit beside her. She whispered "Bulbul.. Behave tune promise kiya tha koi tamasha nahi karegi.."
Bulbul made a face and then smiled fakely at the elderly lady. She was just staring at Bulbul and passing the smile.
"Aapka pota dekhne nahi aayega?" Nandini asked.
"Nahi ji.. Usne toh photo se hi pasand kar liya hai kudi ko.. Aur wo apni dadi ki baat nahi taalta hai isliye main hi rishta pakka karke jaungi" she spoke.
Karan forwarded the sweet and asked "maaf kijiye aapka naam.."
"Man..." she paused and correctly herself "ji pyaar se sab mujhe chutki dadi kehte hai aap bhi kah sakte hai"
