Chapter 24: Another Trouble For Malhotra Family

The relatives had begun to blame Karan and Nandini. "Pehle toh tumhare bete ne tum dono ki ijzat mitti mein mila di aur ab tumhari beti ne bhi!"

Karan eyed them and folded his hands in front of them "dekhiye aap sab please yahan se jayie.. Hamari takleef samajh nahi sakte hai toh iss tarah hamare bacho ko doshi manne ka aapko haq nahi hai!"

"Uss din toh bahut kaha tha tumne Nandini.. Aaj kya hua? Chala gaya na wo ladka tumhari beti ko chodke.. Ab dega tumhare awara bete ko apni beti aur kaun banayega tumhari chodi hui beti ko apne ghar ki dulhan '' one of the relatives spoke such bitter words.

"Enough!!" Bulbul shouted.

"Subah aap log nach rahe they hamari khushi mein.. Aur ab aap mere maa baap ko taane maar rahe hai! Sach aap log jante hai nahi aa jaate hai muh uthake sunane.. Gharo mein aag lagane" She confronted them.

"5 saal pehle aap logo ki inhi baaton ki wajah se mera bhai ghar chodke gaya tha! Ab aap kya chahte hai hum sab yahan se chale jaaye?" she shouted.

"Jante bhi hai kya hua hai yahan?? Ek bhai ne apni behen ki awaaz khoyi hai! Jo ladki ek hafte yahan shor macha rahi thi wo ab kabhi zindagi mein bol nahi paayegi... aur mera Viren tarasta rahega uske muh se bhai sunne ke liye... aur aap sab chahte hai ki Viren aaye khushi se baarat leke mujhse shaadi kare!" she said sarcastically.

Everyone was silent hearing her words. Bulbul closed her eyes for a moment and said "isse pehle main apni tameez bhool jau aap log yahan se chale jayie..."

The guests left the house while Bulbul turned towards her parents. "Maa papa.. Main janti hun jo hua usse aap dono bahut pareshan hai par trust me.. Main thik hun! Agar Viren ki jagah main hoti toh main bhi yahi decision leti jo usne liya" she said.

Nandini eyed her with teary eyes "tere kehne se teri takleef mujhse chupegi nahi Bulbul.. Mana tu doctor hai aur tumhe sikhaya jaata tha emotional nahi practical decisions lene chahiye par akhir mein hai toh tu insaan hi.."

Bulbul sighed and said "maa.."

"Kya maa?? Chahta toh Viren shaadi postpone kar sakta tha par usne rishta hi tod diya tujhse! Uske liye hamesha se manvi sab kuch hai! Ek baar bhi nahi socha usne tujhpe kya bitegi..." Nandini said angrily.

"Maa.. please hum iss baare mein baat nahi karte hai abhi.. Aarav kahan hai?" she asked as she couldn't find him anywhere.

She then heard a loud sound, she turned towards the door and found Aarav standing there with his head bleeding. She rushed towards him, he was breathing heavily. Bulbul asked "Aaru... ye kya hua?? Kaha gaye they tum??"

He was scared, he denied "kuch nahi Di... mujhe wapas Banglore jaana hai" he was looking tense. He couldn't meet his gaze with Bulbul while talking.

Bulbul held his face in between her thumb and fingers. She looked straight into his eyes and asked "kya hua!! Tumhe ye chot kaise lagi??"

"Di.. wo" he paused.

He turned behind and saw a police jeep stopping in front of the gate. The police got down and approached the entrance. The inspector asked "Doc. Bulbul Malhotra aap hai?"

"Haan inspector main hun" she said.

"You are under arrest.. Aapko hamare saath police station chalna hoga" the inspector declared leaving her shocked.

Karan and Nandini came near, Karan asked "lekin kis jurm mein arrest kar rahe hai aap meri beti ko?"

"Kal doctors ki strike thi aur inhone hospital rules break kiye! Interns are not allowed to perform any surgery but they did one! Jiski wajah se uss patient ki awaaz chali gayi.. Aur itna hi nahi she refused her seniors doctors to treat Mr. Vinay tyagi.. He had filed a case against her.. Ki inhone apne bhai ko bachane ke liye uss ladke ka treatment hone nahi dia! We have witnesses and solid proof against her..." the lady inspector revealed.
