~Karma (Marinette)~

She was getting really tired of the crying. Didn't Lila know that Karma was done letting her play pretend?

"Shut your goddamn mouth, Rossi. Or my boot might just find its way down your lying little throat." For emphasis, she inspects her boot, laying it on Lilas tied up knee. "It's a bit dirty, don't you think?"

When Lila doesn't answer she drives the tip of her boot into her thigh, eliciting a cry from her prisoner. "I think it needs a shiner, don't you think, Lila?"

Karma wears a mocking frown. "Too bad our mayor doesn't have any shiner, or water, in his office." She looks around. "But you know what? You have something I could use to clean these boots. Granted-" She leans forward, "your supply just might make them dirtier."

She drags her dagger up Lilas arm. "You never know until you try, right?"

Lila glares at her but does not move. "Good. I'm glad you finally learned your place, reine du mensonge."

Karma stalks over to the double doors that would allow Lilas classmates to really see what's going on in the mayor's office. "I guess we'll just have to save that for later, I've got some things to do, Ms. Rossi. Please do me a favor and look scared. The show must go on."

With the ease of a skilled assassin, Karma slices the locks on the door. She enters the room harboring all her former classmates, save for Adrien, Alya, and Chloe. Good. She doesn't need them here anyway.

"Hello class, I feel like it's been forever since I last saw you." She runs her gaze over Rose, who stands protectively in front of Juleka. "Such a sweet, loyal friend. Tell me Rose, would you really choose Juleka over you? Would you save her from the horrors that are karma out of the love in your heart?"

Rose trembles. "Where's Lila, Marinette?"

Karma bares her teeth, grinning threateningly. "Not to worry, pretty Rose. Lilas right over in the Mayors office, safe and sound." Karma stalks to where Lila sits, tied up, and drags her out. "Here she is, friends. Here's your precious Lila, that bravely convinced me to let you all be, and focus my attention entirely on her. It was such a noble thing to do that I-" She bats her lashes at her classmates. "I couldn't just let the act go without being recognized." Karma unsheathes her second dagger.

"You could never learn to stop trying, Marinette! Lila never did anything bad to you! Just leave her be, leave Paris be. You've done enough damage to innocents." Nino's words come out angry, raspy. They're pleading, and yet, demanding. As if she was in the wrong, the villain. Maybe she wasn't that before, but she'll bathe in that light now.

"Oh oblivious Nino. Stupid, stupid Nino. You always had trouble seeing the full picture." She runs her clawed hands through Lilas trembling hair. "You all had trouble seeing the full picture." She turns her head to Ivan and Mylene, trying to slip out of the room. Quick like an asp, she removes a small throwing knife from her thigh and throws. The classes shrieks unify. The blade lands directly above Mylene's outstretched hand. The room becomes chaos.

Her twin dagger finds its way to Lila's throat. "Now, now class. Lila made a sacrifice for you. Don't make it go in vain." The class stills. "Good. Now be good friends and sit your sorry little asses on the goddamn floor."

Most of the class follows her orders. "Well?" She asks Kim. "Would you like to say something? Or do you need more of a reason to follow my orders?" She laughs, "believe me, Kim, when I say that I can give you one."

He sits.

Lila writhes, trying to get out of her impossible situation. She knows what's coming. "The show must go on, Lila" Karma whispers in her ear.
