april

two months til graduation. and you kept failing on your studies. and of course you continued doing what you were doing.

your father had apologized to you about what he had done and said, but you just brushed it off with a 'it wasn't a big deal'. he tried to approach you by talking but you dodged or avoided all his questions.

your mental health was getting shittier as days passed. your friends were trying their best to help you, their tries leading nowhere.

from the other hand, eren was trying his most. spending all of his time trying to make you feel better -through text- until you told him to stop and focus on his studies for the finals.

you didn't expect him to pull something like that though.

eren's pov

"what are you doing here?" your father asked, raising an eyebrow, as he stared at the boy in front of him.

"i'm here to help y/n study!" eren said, a small smile on his face.

levi sighed before allowing eren to enter. he bowed his head, showing gratitude and walked past the entrance.

"don't you think i forgot what you're responsible for, yeager!"

"i'm not thinking something like that, sir!"

your pov

"dad! did you throw them out again?" you yelled from upstairs.

"oh, hi eren! why are you here?" you said, your eyes scanning the living room, trying to find your precious nicotine rolls.

"i came to help you study!" he said, looking at you, as you bend over the couch to grab the packet.

he turned his head away, a blush covering his cheeks. levi cleared his throat, eyeing eren. you turned around with a fake frown on your face.

"what type of déjà vu is that?"

"shit! i'm sorry! i didn't mean to make you remember that!" he said quickly.

"it's fine! i'm over him after all... i think" you said, mumbling the last part.

you walked towards them, as you fluttered your eyelashes while looking at levi.

"what do you want?"

"you'll have to listen to us, 'cause my room is a mess" you simply said.

he sighed, shrugging his shoulders.

"i'll be grading papers anyways, so go on!"

"as long as you're not doing that smelly thing, in the same room as me" he added, pointing at the packet of cigarettes in your hand.

"if it's not smelly? and i mean the bad smelly?" you asked, looking side-ways at eren.

levi looked at the both of you and clicked his tongue.

"fine!" he said, before going to his small office in the living room.

you and eren sat down on the dining table and he took out his history book.

boring.

studying wasn't fun anymore.

'eren looks so hot while teaching!'

'woah what? what the fuck y/n?"

you shook those thoughts away, grabbing eren's attention.

"are you okay?"

"yep! uh... can you explain this again?"

he started all over again as you tried to grasp some of the words.

"repeat what i said" he said out of nowhere.

"uh... romans... war... dead people's names..."

"if you don't pay attention, we're gonna stay here for ages!" he scolded you.

you looked at him, boredom written all over your face.

"can i have some of it? i promise i'll pay attention after that!"

he took out the vanilla-scented electronic cigarette and lit it up. once you inhaled the flavored smoke, your nerves calmed down.

the whole living room started smelling like vanilla, after some minutes. levi looked at you, disgust written all over his face- not disgusted by the smoking, but by the fact you were sharing the same cigarette.

"okay now time to continue!" eren said, turning it off.

"let's finish this" you said, bored of your life.

"now let's prepare you for this"

"let's finish this!"

'why did I think about that now?' you thought, holding your head.

'we're not together anymore! why do i still think about him? it's over! it's gonna be a year soon! am i still in lo-'

"hey! are you okay?" eren's voice rang in your ears, interrupting your train of thought.

"yeah... just remembered something!" you said, looking side-ways at your dad.

"let's go out for a real smoke" he said, getting up.

"everything good?"

"everything's fine, dad! we're just gonna go out so we won't annoy you with the filthy smoke" you said, looking at him.

he nodded his head and brought his attention back to his work.

"let's go to your room's balcony! the view is amazing from up there!" eren said, smiling.

you nodded your head, before you remembered your room is a fucking mess.

"it's fine!" he said, almost like he read your mind.

'i have a feeling about this talk...'
