Carlos' POV
"!Felicidades¡" everyone cheered after Isabela said yes. There soon were loud music as some of the town people went inside Casita to celebrate.
There's a long table filled with foods and people everywhere. Everyone started to dance along with the music as I stood beside the table picking up some food to munch.
I don't like parties like this but it's great to see everyone smiling and getting along with each other. I looked around every corner and my eyes eventually landed on y/n.
She was dancing with my primas, swaying her hips with the rhythm of the music. Damn, she looks even more attractive. It seemed as if she was the only one on the dance floor.
"Loving the view, eh?" a voice spoke which almost made me drop the arepa I was holding.
"Tio, I--I was just searching ...for someone." I lied along with an awkward smile.
He raised his eyebrow. "You know lying is bad Carlos, your eyes tell."
I gulped and scratched my nape. "I--im sorry I know this is wrong but--"
"You like her?" he asked.
I looked down and smiled, slowly nodding. "I know this isn't right." I sighed.
"What is? I mean, she's not your real cousin though."
"So you mean like, I can still... date her?" I asked, lowering my voice on the last part.
He nodded. "Well, if you're so sure then... why not? Who knows? She might feel the same."
I looked back at y/n and saw her already looking at me. She smiled at me before looking away and I found myself smiling.
"I saw that smile." Tio Bruno teased.
"Are you sure about this though?" I asked once again.
"Are you?" he asked back. "Just remember, nothing's gonna happen if you don't try. Play it cool." he tapped my shoulder and walked away.
Ugh! Now my mind is confused. Should I?
I need something to ease my mind first.
I searched for something to drink on the table when my eyes landed on an alcoholic drink. "Not what I had in mind, but, okay." I shifted into someone else and snatched the drink on the table.
Y/N's POV
"What the fuck, Carlos. Tia Pepa will go nuts if she sees you drinking! Are you crazy??" I tried to snatch the glass on his hand but he quickly dodged."You know you're more pretty when you're quiet." he says. I crossed my eyebrows.
"What are you saying? You're drunk! Give me the bottle!" I tried jumping up and down but he raises his hand even higher.
"Shorty." he scoffed.
"Don't you dare make fun of my height!"
"Fine, here, it's all yours." he handed me the bottle and crouched on his bed hugging a capybara plushie.
I shook my head and placed the bottle on the floor. "Oh come on, you're not upset with me, are you?"
"I'm fine."
"Well it sounded like you're not. Tell me what's wrong." I sat beside him. He turns to face me and stared at me. "Is there something on my face?"
"Yeah, it's beautiful." he smiled and tucked my hair behind my ear. I looked at him confused. Is the drunk version of him?
"You know what? You should sleep. You're drunk." I stood up but he pulled my wrist which made me sat back on the bed. My back was now facing him. He then hugged me tightly and buried his face on my neck.
His hot breath was sending shivers down my spine. I can clearly smell the alcohol. "Stay here for a while, please." he mumbled.
I didn't move, I couldn't move. His grip on my waist was tight. "Carlos if you wanna sleep then just sleep."
"No. I don't want to."
"God, stop being so stubborn and listen to me."
"I would, only if you're screaming my name." I can feel him smirking.
"What the--" I wasn't able to finish my words when he grabbed both my shoulders and made me face him. I looked away immediately.
"Look at me señorita." I just gulped. "I said look at me." he says with an impatient tone.
I sighed and slowly averted my eyes to him. But I was caught off guard when he suddenly leaned in and smacked his lips into mine.A/n: 🙂🙂
