Spencer Reid One Shots

Anemia

An: This is a shorter one. Also i'm not a doctor so I can't say this is 100% correct. I used google.

Dating Spencer Reid was amazing. He was always taking care of you and you always felt loved. He knew about you having anemia, and he knew what to do when you fainted from it.

You were visiting him at work today, talking to him at his desk. You had already met his team, seeing as you have been dating Spencer for almost 2 years. You felt yourself getting lightheaded, and you knew you were about to faint.

"Spence, I'm about to pass out." You warned.

He stood up as fast as possible, just in time to catch you as you fainted.

Third Person POV:

The team turned their attention to you and Spencer when they saw him stand up. Their gasps filled the air as they watched you faint, Spencer catching you. They didn't know you had anemia, and you have never passed out in front of them before. They all ran over to Spencer, seeing if they could help.

"Oh god, what's wrong?" Garcia said.

"I just need to lay her down and elevate her legs. She has anemia." Spencer explained.

He laid you on the floor, grabbing his jacket off the back of his chair to put under your legs. He checked your pulse, making sure he didn't need to take you to the hospital. It was there and it was strong enough for him not to be too worried. He knew you were only out for about half a minute before you recovered from fainting.

"Anemia?" JJ asked.

"Anemia is a condition in which you lack enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to your body's tissues. She has iron deficiency anemia, which is the most common type anemia to have. It's when your body doesn't have enough iron to make red blood cells." Spencer rambled.

You were waking up, smiling at the team around you. Spencer handed you your water bottle so that you could rehydrate.

"Did I miss one of Spencer's info dumps?" You asked.

"It's nothing you haven't heard." Spencer chuckled.

"I still like listening to you talk." You said.

You looked at the teams worried faces and just smiled. They all looked horrified.

"Guys, I'm alright." You reassured.

"Have you been consuming enough iron?" Spencer asked.

"Sweets, you know that it doesn't matter how much iron filled foods I consume, I will still pass out sometimes." You said.

The rest of his team was starting to go back to their desk, seeing as you were fine. Spencer sighed, kissing you softly before standing up. Once he was up he reached out a hand to help you up, you accepting it. He sat in his chair, allowing you to sit in his lap.

"You're lucky I already finished my paperwork." Spencer whispered.

"Oh yeah?" You asked.

"Yeah." He answered.

You smiled widely, bumping his nose with yours. He laughed, kissing your cheek. The team watched the happy couple, smiling to themselves. They were happy to see Spencer so happy.

"Get a room." Derek yelled across the bullpen.

"Shut up." Spencer yelled back.

"We will." You yelled at the same time.

The team laughed as you laid your head on Spencer's shoulders. You were really tired and you just wanted to cuddle and sleep.

"If you want to sleep you can go ahead and sleep. I cant leave for another two hours." Spencer whispered.

You nodded, letting the sleep over take you. Spencer ran his hands through your hair, helping you fall asleep. The team couldn't stop watching you and Spencer. It was a cheesy romance novel in their opinion. Something that you never thought happened to anyone, but it does. The whole team came to the same conclusion. They were each other's soulmates.
