You walked closer to the building, nerves bubbling in your stomach. It was time for your highschool reunion. It had been 15 years since you had graduated. You were excited to see what direction everyone went in.

The person you were most excited to see was Spencer. You didn't even know if he was going to show, but you were really hoping he did. He was only 12 when he graduated. Everyone was so rude to him, including you. You would bully him along with everyone else just so you could fit in. You wanted him to come, just to say sorry to him. You wanted him to know how bad you felt about everything. You held the pair of glasses you stole from him in your purse, hoping that you could return them.

*Flashback*

"Please stop." The boy cried.

Spencer stood in front of you and a group of your friends. One of your friends had just stolen his books while you took his glasses. Everyone laughed at him as he tried to compose himself. You felt horrible about it, but you knew that if you would try to stop them they would just turn against you.

"Awe look at the poor baby cry." One person jokes.

You decided to walk away, Spencer glasses still in hand. You didn't even realize you still had them till you got on the bus, and by then it was too late. You never gave them back, keeping them put up in a box.

*End of flashback*

You entered the school and walked towards the gym. It was filled with people, some you recognized and others you didn't. You scanned the room and your eyes landed on a man standing alone. He was sipping water, looking around as well. He had a tall, scrawny figure and fluffy brown hair. He was probably one of the most attractive guys you have ever seen. But who was it? Surely you would remember someone that looked like that in high school.

You walked towards him, ready to greet yourself and learn who this person is. His eyes landed on yours and it was like you two were in a staring contest. You walked closer and still couldn't figure out who this man was. You approached him, smiling up at him.

"Hi." You simply stated, a small wave with your hand with it.

"Hello." The mystery man said.

Even his voice was attractive. There was no way he went to school with you. There is no way he was in the same graduating year as you. You would remember a man that looked this good. You knew glow ups were a thing, but there is no way one of the guys at your school changed this much.

"Are you positive you graduated from this school 15 years ago?" You asked.

"Yes." He answered, a little confusion layered in his voice.

"Sorry, you just don't look like anyone I graduated with." You explained.

"I'm Spencer Reid." He said.

You knew he caught the shocked look on your face. You nearly choked on literal air when you found out this man was Spencer Reid.

"The genius himself. I was hoping to find you actually." You said.

"Why?" He asked.

"Well, you probably remember me, but not for good reasons. I used to be one of the people who would bully you." You started.

You could see Spencer's guard go up at that. It clicked for him who you were, and he was ready to get out of there. You reached into your bag and pulled out the pair of glasses that you had kept. You kept them safe, knowing that one day you wanted to find Spencer and give him the glasses back.

"I took your glasses senior year and I never gave them back. I can't tell you how sorry I am for what I did to you. If I could take it back I would. I wanted to fit in but in doing so I hurt you. I should have tried to stop them. You didn't do anything to deserve that. But I have kept your glasses because I wanted to give them back." You explained, holding up the glasses.

Spencer reached out, grabbing the glasses. You could see the hesitation in his movements. He holds them in his hand for a moment just staring down at the glasses. You could see tears starting to build in his eyes, but he fought them back.

"I remember this day, I couldn't forget it. I went home that night crying, but my mom, well she was really sick, so she didn't even recognize me without my glasses. She was having a bad episode and thought I was there to take her away." Spencer explained, his voice filled with pain.

It felt like your heart had literally shattered. You had made this man experience something he never should have.

"I am so sorry. I know that sorry won't ever make it better. I wish we could just start over, I wish we could have had a friendship. You seemed like a cool kid honestly, I was just too scared to become friends with you." You said.

"Why were you scared to be friends with me?" Spencer asked.

"Because I wouldn't have been able to handle the bullying. You were so brave for putting up with all the shit you went through. You were just a little boy, no one deserves that, and I hate that I'm one of the ones who caused it." You answered.

"Then we should start over." Spencer stated.

"What?" You asked, looking up at him.

He was serious, he wanted to start over. He held out his hand, and the fague rule of his 'no shaking hands' popped into your head. You remember kids making fun of him for it.

"I'm Spencer Reid. And you are?" He said with a small smile.

"Im Y/n Y/l/n. It's great to meet you." You answered, grabbing his hand and shaking it.

You all talked for almost an hour, not even caring to talk to anyone else. You and Spencer got along amazingly. It made you regret what you did to him as a kid. He told you so much about himself. He was one of the most interesting people you have ever met.

Once the reunion was over you two left, going to get a bit to eat. Spencer had taken the glasses you had given him back and tried them on. They didn't fit, obviously, but he still looked adorable doing it. You two exchanged phone numbers and went your separate ways when you finished eating. You knew a good friendship had started, and you kinda hoped that one day it turned into something more.
