Dating an FBI agent came with its ups and downs. It was tough when Spencer was gone, but you understood he was just doing his job. You and Spencer had been dating for a little over a year. You all met at a library, you both grabbing for the same book. I know, cliche right. It still was the best day of your life because it brought you to the person you hoped to spend the rest of your life with.
He has yet to introduce you to his team, but he keeps talking about it more and more. He was ready to introduce you, he had been since you met him. He just never did it because he watched what the job did to Hotch and Hailey. He didn't want that, but he didn't like keeping you a secret from his family.
The day had yet to come, the one where he actually introduces you. You were ok with it, you didn't want to push him to do something he wasn't ready for. You were at work, waiting on Spencer. He said he would come visit you today and you were ready for him. You had missed him even though you had just seen him that morning.
Third Person POV:
Spencer looked down at his phone to check the time. You had talked him into getting an iphone so you both could facetime while he was gone. He noticed that it was past 5 pm, the time he promised to come visit you, and he got up in a hurry. He started to grab his things, heading for the door.
"I will be back to finish my paperwork. I have something I have to do." Spencer told his team.
The team was suspicious. Spencer had never been the type to run out like that. Everyone looked at each other, excluding Hotch and Rossi because they were in their offices. Everyone agreed with their eyes that they should check up on him.
"We should follow him, just to make sure he's ok." Derek said.
"I agree." Emily said.
So, Derek, JJ and Emily left to follow after Spencer. Meanwhile, Spencer was on his way to the bookstore you worked at. The team wasn't too far behind him, they could see his car. Yes, he started driving his car once you all got together so he could come and visit you when he had time.
The portion of the team following Spencer watched as he pulled up to a small book store. None of them were surprised, of course he left to get more books. They pulled up, making sure to stay out of his line of sight. They didn't want him knowing that they followed him.
"Of course he was going to get more books, it's Spencer." JJ said.
They watched as Spencer walked into the store, but instead of going to look for books he went straight to the counter. They were a little confused, all of them just assuming that Spencer pre ordered books. They should have known better though, because that meant Spencer was using technology. They were all surprised when he got a new phone, let alone actually used it.
Spencer was happy that there were no customers in the store. He didn't have to wait till you finished checking the people out to talk to you. You were turned away from the counter, not knowing that Spencer was right behind you.
"Can I somehow purchase a hello from my girlfriend?" Spencer joked.
You instantly turned around, ten times happier from just hearing his voice. Derek, Emily and JJ watched as you turned around, a hug smile growing on your face. You ran out from behind the counter as fast as you possibly could. Once you reached Spencer you hugged him, him laughing a little at your eagerness.
"I missed you." You said.
"I missed you too. Even though we just saw each other this morning." Spencer said.
You pulled away, standing on your tippy toes to try and give him a kiss. Spencer leaned down, meeting you in the middle to kiss you. The three profilers who followed Spencer sat with their jaws open, finding it hard to believe that Spencer had a girlfriend.
