An: One of the team members being homophobic...

Third Person POV:

Spencer sat in his chair at the round table room, listening to everyone talk. There was no case but the team still had to stay in the office, even after everyone finished their paperwork. So what better way to pass time than gathering in the round table room. Derek and Emily were in the middle of talking about significant others. All Spencer could think about was you. He loved you, a lot, but he was scared to introduce you to his team.

Spencer wasn't scared to wander the world, his hand holding yours. He wasn't scared to sit in a coffee shop, your head leaning on his shoulder when you were tired. He wasn't scared to have a picnic, cuddled up to one another after you finished eating. He wasn't scared to kiss you in the grocery store. He didn't care about other people's judgement. He could care less about what random people he didn't know thought of him.

This was his team though. People he wanted to please. People he wanted to be praised by. People who he thought highly of. He didn't want them judging him because of who he was dating. He wanted them to be proud he found happiness.

While deep in thought he didnt realise that the whole team had turned to him. He looked at them, seeing them all staring. He wondered what he had missed. He wanted to know why they were all looking at him like he was supposed to say something.

"What?" He asked.

"We were asking if you were seeing anyone." Emily said with a chuckle.

"Uh. Y-Yeah, yeah I am." Spencer stuttered.

What was he supposed to do? Lie? He couldn't do that. It was a group of profilers. He watched as they all reached. Derek had a smirk that crossed his face, Emily's wide smile made Spencer feel a little better. Garcia let out a small squeal, clapping her hands together, her bracelet clad arms making a lot of noise. Rossi and JJ had a small, content smile on their faces. Hotch gave a small nod, one corner of his mouth turning up.

Spencer looked up to each and every one of them. JJ and Garica were like his sisters, Morgan was like his brother. Emily was his best friend. Hotch was his dad, Rossi was grandpa. He wanted to make each and every one of them proud.

"When do we get to meet her?" Rossi asked.

Spencer needed to correct Rossi. He needed to let him know that you weren't a girl. You were a guy that loved Spencer more than anyone had in his whole life. Spencer smiled at the thought of you, probably sitting at home and reading a book.

"I can talk to him, see if he wants to meet you all." Spencer said, his voice quiet.

It was the easiest way to fix Rossi's mistake. He waited for his team to react. He watched as they all smiled, not caring. Emily's smile got bigger, if that was even possible. She seemed to be the happiest out of all of them. Rossi looked confused. Like he had misheard Spencer.

"There is no way you're like that." Rossi said.

"Rossi, watch yourself." Derek warned.

Spencer felt his heart drop. He knew what Rossi meant by that. Just like he knew what the judgemental stares from strangers that could never understand what he felt, meant. He had to take a deep breath to hide the heartbreak he was feeling.

"Spencer, we would love to meet him." Garcia reassured.

He nodded at Garcia, thankful for the change. He was glad that at least one person made it known that they accepted him. He would just have to learn to distance himself from the people who don't. He wasn't going to let you go just because of how one of his team members felt.
