An: I wrote a story like this already but I wanted to take the idea and more. So I just rewrote the story. The old version is still up as well. But I have published all my old stories and its time for some newly written ones to come out.

Spencer had been working on a case for almost two weeks now. Luckily for you it was a local case, meaning Spencer got to come home to you every night. Spencer said that the case should be almost over, but that's all he was able to say.

You had decided to surprise Spencer tonight. You wanted to get him his favorite snack and set up a movie date. You threw on some clothes and went out to your car. After hooking up bluetooth and putting on your playlist you drove off to the store.

You looked around, picking up Spencer's favorite chips, drinks, and of course some jello. As you were walking toward the counter you spotted a teddy bear. It had a blue and white striped sweater. It reminded you of Spencer so you knew you had to get it for him. You checked out and got ready to head back home.

You were approaching a green light, going on through it. A loud crashing sound echoed through your ears as you made it halfway through the light. Your vision blurred as glass flew around you. The world around you seemed to spin as the car tumbled across the road. It came to a stop, laying on the driver side. You looked around, a small spark catching your attention. You laid there for what felt like hours, listening to sirens surround you from all angles. Your vision started to blur and you felt your eyes start to close.

"Y/n!" You heard someone yell.

The voice was familiar. One you have heard many times. Spencer ran to the car, looking down into the car. You turned your head, trying to hold your eyes open long enough to see him. You wanted to make sure that you got to see him if this was the last chance you got to. Spencer was trying to get to you but people around him were pulling him away. You could hear Spencer yelling your name as the others pulled him away. You let your head fall back to the side, letting the darkness overcome your vision.

Spencer POV

30 minutes earlier

After almost two weeks of investigating and 5 murders we finally pinned down the murderer. The team got ready to go to the address we had for him and got into the SUV's. I rode in the one Morgan drove with JJ in the back. Hotch drove another SUV, with Rossi and Emily.

As we were arriving at the address the suspect was getting into his car. Once he noticed us he took off, flying down the road and taking the closet right. We followed him, chasing him through back roads for almost 10 minutes. We came up on a red light and the suspect flew right through it. He hit another car at almost 100 MPH. The other car was going through the green light and had made it almost halfway through it before being hit. The other car rolled a few times, stopping to lay on the driver side. The front of the car sparked, going up into a small flame.

My heart dropped as I read the license plate. It matched my fiance. As the SUV came to a halt I jumped out, running towards your car. I yelled out your name, coming up to the side of the car. There were a few grocery bags flug about, making me believe you had just gone to the store. Blood dripped from your nose, head and lip. You had scratches all over your body and I was doing my best to get to you.

You looked over at me and I could tell how much strength it took for you to just do that. I knew it was a good chance that I lost you today. I wouldn't be able to handle that though. Losing you would be the worst thing to ever happen to me. I needed to get you out of the car, I needed to help you however I could.

"Your teddy." You whispered.

"My teddy?" I asked.

I didn't know what she was talking about. Why would she bring up a teddy bear at this time? I tried to think of whatever she was talking about. Nothing came to mind and I just focused on saving her. I needed to get her out of the car, to get her to a hospital.

I started to pull at the passenger door when I felt hands pulling me back. I fought back against them, doing my best to stay at the car. I screamed your name, tears filling my eyes. Morgan and Hotch, who had been the ones pulling me back, finally got me away from the car. Firefighters were surrounding the car, working on getting you out. I couldn't see you anymore. All I had was hope that you were still hanging on.

I felt like I waited hours for them to finally pull you out of the car. When they had you out on the stretcher I ran to your side. You were unconscious but I could see that your chest was still rising and falling, showing that you were breathing. I held your hand as they put you in the ambulance and I hopped in with you.

"Hang on for me. I know I call you angel but it's too soon for you to actually become one." I whispered to you.

The EMT's worked around me, hooking you up to multiple different things. I tried to pay attention to what they were saying but all I could do was stare at you. My mind was running a million miles a minute. I'm so scared that I'm going to lose you. I couldn't help but blame myself. We could have caught the suspect if we left two minutes earlier. We could have caught him if we drove faster. If we waited just one more minute the suspect wouldn't have speed through that red light at that moment. There were so many things that could have avoided this.

The ambulance made it to the hospital and everyone jumped out, running inside. They took you back to surgery and made me stay in the waiting room. I waited for the rest of the team to arrive and we all waited for news on you. JJ dug into her purse, pulling out a bag.

"Spence." JJ said, getting my attention.

I looked up at her, my eyes red from crying. She gave me a sympathetic smile and held up the bag.

"This was found in Y/n's car. I think this is what she was talking about when she said ''your teddy''." JJ explained.

I took the bag out of her hand, opening it up. Inside was a cute little brown bear, wearing a blue and white striped sweater. A small smile crossed my face, knowing you had bought this bear for me. You would buy me something at the end of every case. I had told you that this one had been coming to a close, so you must have been out to get me something.

We sat in the waiting room for hours. I keep the teddy bear in my arms the whole time, hugging it close to my chest. I held onto it as if it was you. It felt as if I sat in the waiting room for years before a doctor finally called out your name. Everyone stood up and surrounded the doctor who had called your name. I stood the closest to him, the teddy bear held tightly in my hands.

"She's out of surgery and it seems that she will make a full recovery. She should be waking up in the next 24 hours." The doctor explained.

He led the team to your room, where you laid hooked up to many different things. You were still asleep, your hair framing your face perfectly. I walked over to your side, grabbing your hand. I sat down next to you, setting the teddy bear on the bed with you. The rest of the team gathered around, hoping that you would wake up soon.

It had been almost 4 hours and the rest of the team had decided to go home. I stayed seated next to you, holding your hand. It was almost 2 in the morning and I could feel my eyes starting to get heavy. I decided to lay my head down on the side of the bed, resting my eyes until I fell asleep.

Y/n's POV

You woke up, your head clouded. You looked around, your eyes landing on Spencer. He had fallen asleep on the side of the hospital bed, his hand holding yours. You spotted the teddy bear you bought him and smiled. He got his teddy bear. You moved to grab the bear and it startled Spencer awake. He looked up at you and let out a breath of relief.

"You're ok." He breathed out.

"Yeah. I'm just a little beat up." You joked.

"The doctor said you have a broken right arm, broken left ankle and three broken ribs." Spencer explained.

"Oh well, the bones will heal. I just wanna know how you ended up on the scene of a car crash. You were supposed to be out catching a killer." You said.

"The killer was the person who hit you. I was following right behind him in an SUV with Morgan and JJ." Spencer explained.

"So youre saying that I somewhat helped catch the killer?" You asked.

"I guess you could say that." Spencer laughed.

Spencer let the team know you were up and everyone came by to say hi. You were in a little bit of pain but it wasn't anything you couldn't handle. All you cared about was that you were safe and you were surrounded by the people you loved the most.
