NORMANI POV
I'm laying in this hospital bed. When I welcomed the darkness on the kitchen floor, I thought that was the end for me. Turns out, I have concerned neighbors who were worried for me. And automatically called the cops when they heard the gun shots. Which I'm so grateful for.
I don't know it's like I have nine lives like a cat. Cause death seems always like a knock away on my door but never comes.
I keep thinking of what Ty did. The way he grabbed me, touched me. Why is this my life? Tears start to form in my eyes, but I can't stop them from coming. I'm free of him. No more punches. No more yelling. He's gone and he can't hurt me anymore.
Someone enters into the room but I have my back to them. I quickly try to soak up my tears, but that only makes them come down harder.
"Pancake?" I instantly roll over cause I know it's Jorden's voice
"Jorden!?!"
"Yes, baby it's me"
I instantly sit up snatching the covers off me trying to stand up, but stop cause of the cast around my foot and the pain I'm feeling.
"AH!"
"Aw baby! Why did you do that?" Jorden says catching me
The door opens again, as he's helping me lay back in the bed to Megan in the door way. Trying to bring all these balloons she has with her in.
"AHH Pancake, Baby!" She yells running over to us with tears in her eyes
"I'm so sorry baby. I.. I-"
"You don't have to apologize.. I'm free"
I begin to chuckle
"I'm free!! He's gone and he's NEVER coming back again"
"Yes baby he sure isn't"
"But are you okay? We know what happened and... its a lot"
"Oh I'm good but I'm even better now that y'all are here"
"... y'all wanna know what happened?"
"Yes" they both say
And I begin to tell them how it happened
After I share my story, we all cuddle into the hospital bed holding each other. I'm granted forehead kisses from the both of them. Which causes me to fall asleep with no worries at all.
Dream
"How you want it baby? It's all about you tonight"
Jorden says looking into my eyes while Megan is laying soft kisses on me starting from my foot working her way up to my thighs.
With nothing on my mind and at a lost for words, I just continue to lay down taking in all of her kisses.
"Baby girl? I asked you a question?" Jorden says grabbing my neck applying a little pressure causing me to moan and close my eyes
"Do whatever you want to me" I mutter out
"Say less" Megan says opening my legs wider and diving in -
Dream Over
"Mani, wake up"
"Mani? Pancake?"
"Mhmm don't stop, that feels good"
I hear laughing and quickly open my eyes
"she really having a sex dream"
"Stop leave her alone Jorden"
I sit up and am met with both Megan and Jorden leaning over looking at me. Jorden laughing and Megan smiling extra hard trying to hide her laughter
Oh gosh, I wasn't even quiet in my dream. Fuck
Cutting my train of thought off, the door opens and it's the same detective that interviewed me yesterday.
"Hello Ms. Hamilton, I'm sorry to bother you again. As well as your guest. But I just wanted to inform you that you will not be prosecuted for Ty Belcon's death. From our investigation it was quick to see that it was a domestic dispute. And of course based on your injuries as well. So no charges will be filed against you for this. We do wish you a speedy recovery and the best on your life from here on out"
"Thank you.. thank you so much Detective Anderson. I really appreciate your help in all of this"
"Not a problem. Have a good one" he says walking right back out the door
Not even a breath later the door is opened back again, with Belcalis and Ryan running in with a huge bouquet.
"Normani!! Normani!! Honey, I'm so sorry. So sorry" Belcalis and Ryan yells at the same time
"Y'all calm y'all asses down! Stressing my baby. She been through enough already" Megan says
"No it's okay. I like it, cause I.. I truly missed y'all so much. More than any of y'all could ever know" I say getting tearful
"Awww group hug y'all" Belcalis says running to the bed jumping on it
We all go into a group hug and all I can say, is I'm happy and at peace with the ones I love
RYAN POV (THE NEXT DAY)
"I'm so happy you're safe. I honestly kept beating myself up for everything. I wasn't a true friend to you and I'm sorry"
"Ry, like I've told you yesterday you've been forgiven. I didn't help the situation either by lying and not telling Jorden and Megan what was going on. All is forgiven and I'm glad I'm still here and not dead. I'm here with you all and I love you all so much." She says looking at me smiling then leaning down putting a kiss on Kukture's forehead.
Who just had to see her auntie with me. And is laying in the bed with Mani, sleeping.
"I know.. I know (sigh) it's just that I can't help but blame myself. You know. And all I can say is that I owe everything to you."
"Oh stop it! You're here now. And that's all I can ask for"
"Stop, I've done enough crying!" Making us both laugh
"Ugh I just wanna get out this bed!" She says
"And you will, soon as the doctor says you can"
JORDEN POV (TWO WEEKS LATER)
"Yo you gonna help me with these balloons!" Kiari yells at me breaking me out my thoughts
"Damn my bad bro. I... I was just thinking about Normani. I hope she likes this surprise party we got for her."
"She will don't worry. She's going to love all this. Y'all went all out for her. Don't worry man"
"Ye.. yeah you right you right... I'm just overworking myself for nothing"
MEGAN POV
"Alright you stay, and I'mma get the wheelchair out the trunk"
"Okay" Normani says
"Imma help you. Lean forward, and you can just swing your legs around, Okay?" Ryan says
"Okay" Normani says
Wheeling Normani into the house, I'm in a mix of emotions. Happy that she's home back with us. But scared that she'll be that shell of a person I seen in the supermaket those months ago.
Will she be okay, will it be hard for her to go from that all of that to being back with us.
Ryan opens up the front door, walking us in. Soon as we enter the living room, we're met with a long "Surprise" being yelled. Scaring Normani even Ryan and I. And we knew about the party.
As the night goes on, Normani is enjoying herself. Laughing with her old co workers from the diner, our friends and neighbors.
The night finally comes to an end, and it's just us. Normani, Jorden and I.
I come back into the living room, seeing Normani laying on Jorden's chest, as they're watching tv. I quickly rush in, laying in between Normani's legs making sure to not hit her cast.
Causing her to run her fingers through my hair. Oh how I've missed this. How I've missed her.
