Ch 28

"What are we going to do now?" Eren asked Levi, as Levi sat adjacent to him keeping the tea on the table.

"We can't tell anyone that is one thing for sure. Eren, I think you know that what we did is something people don't exactly have 'good thoughts' about. So the answer to your question is that we do nothing as of now." Levi said, sipping his tea.

"Yeah, I get it...I have a few more questions though." Eren told Levi

"Go ahead." replied Levi

"...When did you realize your feelings for me?" Eren curiously asked him

" 2 weeks ago, after kissing you" Levi bluntly said and took another sip of his tea.

Eren just looked at Levi, with the most confused expression possible, but did not question it, as the only thing that mattered now to him was that Levi liked him back.

"O-kay...and, what are...we?" Eren asked anxiously

Levi paused drinking his tea, sighed and looked at Eren with soft eyes.

"For now, Eren, I think it's best if we don't label our relationship." Levi calmly said

Levi saw that Erens was a bit upset hearing this, so put his hand on top of Eren's.

"Your birthday is on March 31st isn't it?" Levi said and then leaned his head near Eren's ear, "I'll tell you then." he whispered and then smirked at Eren.

That seemed to have made Eren's uneasiness go away and lightened his mood.

Eren stayed only a few more minutes at Levi's place, and as soon as he finished his tea, he was getting ready to leave.

Levi came to see him off at his door.

"Are you going to come back tomorrow?" Eren asked before leaving the house.

"No, I have a few things to sort, but I should be back by Thursday." Levi answered (it was Tuesday currently)

"You must have a lot of leaves piled up huh? See you then, Levi" Eren smiled and then went out the door

"You can't call me that in school" Levi reminded Eren

"I know" Eren waved him goodbye and then cheerfully went his way.

Levi watched Eren leave and smiled softly but soon started feeling guilty again and went inside.

"Only four months more" he says to himself looking towards the ceiling as he sinks to the floor.

The entire walk home, Eren couldn't stop dancing and jumping. When he reached his home, in his room, he crashed on the bed and thought about the kiss again.

It might have been anath time that Eren had thought of it, but no matter how many times it had been, he wasn't satisfied.

It all felt like a dream to him and he was afraid that he would get up any second, go to school and see the same old Levi, who just has a student-teacher relationship with him.

He couldn't fall asleep for the same reason, but also because of the excitement at that moment.

The next day at school, Armin pulled Eren aside, somewhere secluded on the school grounds.

"Explain. Now." Armin demanded as it had been a big deal for him to give Eren the address yesterday.

"Well..." Eren was hesitating as he promised Levi not to tell anyone, but he knew that no matter how hard he tried he wouldn't be able to keep it a secret from Armin anyway.

He explained everything to him including the reason why Levi had gotten sick.

By the time Eren finished, Armin's expression was somewhere between bewilderment, anger and disbelief.

"So you're trying to tell me that now I will be stuck with the image of my best friend's boyfriend teaching us-" Armin said in utter confusion

"Wait wait, we're...not using that term" Eren said

"Huh? Oh ok, what term are you using then?" Armin asked, still having the same expression.

"We're...not really putting a label on it" Eren said being a bit edgy

Armin saw that Erens mood immediately felt different as soon he asked that.

"Eren, are you sure about this? I mean, if you get caught, Levi sensei would probably be one who gets in trouble, and your life will also-"

"I know! I know about all those risks. I knew about them from the beginning. That's why I'm going to be careful about all my actions from now on. But there are only four month until graduation. Why should I give this up just because some people don't feel it's 'ethical' enough. What do they have to do about our relationship? If they don't find it suitable they can simply stop concerning themselves with us." Eren says in a fit of rage and then calms down.

Armin sighs and understands how serious Eren is about everything, especially Levi. He knew the best how much time Eren had to think all of this through.
