Headcannons portrayed:
- Outertale is in a different part of the universe as a whole, making it hard to access
- Planet Ebbot has a lot of differences to earth as listed in the story

Your breath clouded in front of you as you walked down to Grilby's, wanting to enjoy a nice warm drink. You had crash-landed here on Ebbott a while back, and despite the weather still having power over you, you had adjusted well. You no longer felt awkward under the unique gravitational pull, and the different oxygen levels took much longer to fatigue you than when you first arrived. Of all the wonders this planet offered, your favorite was always the view. Unlike on Earth, where harsh city lights lit up the night sky, you could see every star at any time. There were so many, that every time you looked up, you noticed a new consolation you had never seen before.

You were brought back to the present by the sudden warmth that overcame you as you opened Grilby's door and entered the bar. Many monsters talked, played cards, and enjoyed the assortment of treats Grillby served.

"Hey, (Y/N)!" A familiar voice called. You look toward the person who spoke and see Sans' all too familiar smile. The growl of your stomach persuaded you to join him. Sitting down beside him you got Grillby's attention.

"The usual, please, Grillby." The fire monster nodded and started to get to work as you smiled at him. Although he was a monster of few words he was always so polite. "So, Sans, what's up?" You asked the short skeleton beside you.

"Not much, just hanging around. What brings you out here to Snowdin? Enjoying the sights again?" Sans asked, siping his ketchup bottle. You noded, still trying to warm up. Space was much colder than any winter you felt on earth and warming up took longer than you liked. Sans saw you shiver a little as Grillby placed a plate of (Fav. Food) in front of you.

"Thank you." You slide a few G over to Grillby and smile at him.
Just as Grillby took the G, Sans puts his jacket around you, "You really need to get a thicker jacket. Every time you go outside you almost freeze." His starry eyes were laced with concern.

"I'll be fine. I adjusted to everything else, I'll adjust to this too." You told him, trying to hand his jacket back. He wouldn't take it so you just shrugged in acceptance and began to eat. About halfway through your plate, you noticed Sans staring at you, leaning on the counter and propping his head up with his hand, his concern still evident.

"What?"

"Whenever this world gives you problems, you act like they're no big deal. Even if those problems can be dangerous for you. Why?"

"Give me one example of a dangerous thing on this planet I've just accepted."

"Our low oxygen level."

"Okay, give me two more."

"The cold here can kill you if you aren't careful, and the meteor showers that you never go inside during that could very easily kill you as well."

You sighed, knowing he was right. Why did you disregard your own safety like that? You had no idea. Maybe it was because you didn't want anyone to see you as weak, like people back on Earth? Maybe you just wanted to be independent? Or perhaps it was simply easier to put up with it than to get help?

Sans rested a hand on your shoulder at your hesitation to answer, "Just, don't push it, okay? If something bad happens, we won't be able to help you. We don't know much about humans, let alone have any knowledge of how to heal you. When you first got here we could barely do anything to heal your injuries."

Again, he was right. Earth is too far for anyone from there to help if you got hurt, not to mention that no one from Earth would dare help monsters, even if it was for your health. "I didn't think of that."

He gives you a side hug changing the subject upon seeing the upset look on your face, "So, got any plans today?" You shook your head and he smiled, "Good, then you and I are gonna go shopping for a coat for you. Until then you can wear mine."

"You're gonna make me go either way, aren't you."

"You betcha."

"Okay, Okay."

After you both finished eating you left together to all the shops on Planet Ebbott. Sans kept checking in to be sure you weren't too cold as you walked around. Most of the time when he asked he had to drag your attention away from the sky, where you were admiring the stars again.

"Why do you like the stars so much, (Y/N)?" He asked, looking up with you.

"I just really like them. Back on Earth, you were rarely able to see them." You admitted. "Plus, if you did see any, you would only be able to see a handful."

"Really? I didn't know that."

"They're just beautiful to me."

Sans thought for a moment before grabbing your hand, "Close your eyes." You hesitated but agree, after a few seconds you felt like the ground gave way and returned all in an instant. Did he teleport you somewhere?

He leads you a few steps and sits you down on the ground, "Okay, open your eyes."

You opened your eyes and saw Sans pointing up, you followed his finger and smiled ear to ear. The sky was lit up with stars brighter than any you've seen before. An array of lights, similar to the northern lights, illuminated the sky brighter than ever. These lights were painted with all your favorite colors and flowed like water across the sky. It all felt unreal. "Woah..."

"Do you like it?" Sans asked, watching the astonished look on your face.

"This is awesome! Where are we?" You asked, still admiring the sky.

"A hidden cove, and the best place to stargaze."

You lean onto him, looking back at him with a small smile and a grateful gaze, "Thank you for taking me here."

His cheeks became dusted with a galaxy-esc blush as he nod, "Of course, Starlight. This cove is almost right behind my house, feel free to come anytime."

"Do you come here often?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"It feels a little pointless without my favorite star being here."

You tilted your head, "Your favorite star? You can't see it from here?"

You looked back at the sky, almost every star was visible from here.
He chuckled a little and smiled, "Well..." He placed a finger under your chin and gently made you look at him, "My favorite star is right here, walking among us."

At first, you were still confused, then your face grew hot as you realized what he was saying, "Me?"

He nods, putting his hands in his pant pockets, "The night you crashed here I wished upon a star that someone would come into my life, make it better, turn it upside down. That star grew and grew until it fell onto this planet. That star was your ship, that star brought me you, it was you. Of all the stars in the sky, none of them compare to you, Starlight."

"Aw, Sans. That's so sweet." You responded quietly, taken aback by how romantic that sounded. You never took him for the romantic type. Then again, you never really paid much attention before. Now that's all gonna change, anytime you wanted to stargaze you'd come here, but never without him. After all, the more you looked the more you realized, "You're my favorite star too."

His galaxy blush grew at this, he looks off, and clears his throat. "So, since we couldn't find you a jacket, how about you keep mine."

"You sure?" You questioned, feeling bad that you had practically taken it from him already.

"Yeah, it looks good on you." He smiled, looking back at you lovingly. "Plus, I have more at home. And if you ever need another, just ask."

"Sans, you've done a lot for me today, how can I repay you? I still have some G, here." You try handing him your pouch of G.

"Seeing you happy and safe is enough payment, (Y/N)." He told you, declining the money. "Nothing can compare in value to that, ever."
