Jarvis: I found this one and I hope you like it. It does get rather...emotional towards the end so be prepared.

Me: *Sniffling in the background* yeah, that's one way to put it!

Jarvis: *sad guilty face*

Jarvis's POV

The morning started out perfectly. Nothing seemed wrong and I had no sense of something happening later. I checked on all the Avengers and everyone was going about their daily routines.

Tony and Bruce were in the lab. Steve was sparring with Nat who was clearly holding back. Thor was eating pop tarts with Bucky. Peter and Clint were hanging out together in the vents. (Y/N) was training by herself with her knives. Loki was walking the halls randomly and he seemed to be deep in thought.

Thor finished his pop tarts and started walking to the training room and he looked very determined. He quickly found (Y/N) and they shared a brief kiss. "When do you finish?" Thor asked (Y/N) who told him the same thing she had said when they woke up.

"I'm training till 11 then I'm going to have a shower and have lunch." (Y/N) said and turned to continue training. That's when I was interrupted with some possibly bad news.

I had noticed something on my radar going off and I kept an eye on it. Suddenly whatever it was was much closer and a huge threat to New York. "A threat approaches the tower on the east city side," I said to everyone and they all started rushing outside.

They reached outside just as the threat landed and a brutal fight broke out. "Clint find high ground!" Steve yelled while Tony started to fly up.

"On it!" Clint yelled as Tony picked him up and placed him on a rooftop.

"Queens, stay low and move civilians" Steve added and Peter swung around moving anyone that was in range. "Bruce, we are gonna need you," Steve added. Bruce mumbled an unhappy agreement and soon Bruce was The Hulk.

"Stay safe" Thor whispered to (Y/N) before he joined the fight using his lighting. (Y/N) hoped to stay safe but she knew that was unlikely considering the whole point of the Avengers. She joined the fight, using her graceful knife/sword skills to her advantage.

The fight seemed to be going in the Avenger's favour and everyone was ready to finish the fight and go home. I helped a bit with anything I could. Everything was working until a massive beast appeared. The beast was nothing human and it was much bigger than Hulk.

"What the...hell Nah, how do y'all fight that?!" Said a random passerby who Peter quickly moved away from the fight. "Really man!" They said as Peter stuck them to the floor a safe distance away.

"They have a point," Peter said as he landed next to Steve and (Y/N) who were both staring at this beast. "How do we beat That?" Peter asked and looked at Steve.

"Together," Steve and (Y/N) said at the same time and they smiled. Steve called to the team, giving them instructions while (Y/N) grabbed her sword from an attacker's head. She wiped the blood from it on the guy's clothes before getting ready to fight.

(Y/N) took her chance when it came and jumped forward, landing on the beast's back. She plunged her sword into the beast's back but that affected it none. She tried again and even chopped off one of its ears but the beast was not slowed down.

The beast picked up (Y/N) from its back and flung her hard towards the Avengers tower. She yelped softly and Peter tried to catch her using a web. The web caught (Y/N) by her stomach but she still hit the wall, just not as hard. She tumbled to the ground, taking deep breaths to try and steady herself.

(Y/N) stood up and was about to jump back into it when her sword, which had previously been stuck in the beast's back, was flung right at her. She noticed it only in time to swerve enough so the sword didn't hit her heart. She would've fallen to the ground had the sword not pierced through her ribcage and lungs, pinning her to the wall behind her.

Thor saw what had happened and flew right to her but Tony and Peter got there first. Tony put his helmet down so his face was visible and he smiled weakly at (Y/N). Peter pulled his mask off and sat in front of her. "Jarvis?" Tony asked me and I told him everything about (Y/N)s condition.

"The blade has gone through her right lung. There is massive internal and external bleeding." I said before Tony told me that was enough.

"It's alright," (Y/N) said to Peter as he cried. (Y/N) had been like a sister to Peter. THey had spent many nights watching horror movies together to only then spend the next day freaking out about it and not getting any sleep. Peter really like it when they would play pranks on Thor, sometimes even Loki would join in on that.

Thor slammed next to (Y/N) and she smiled at him. Her breathing was understandably erratic and shallow. Tony and Peter moved away slightly so Thor could be alone. I told Tony quietly that he was needed in the fight when he could because Steve, Clint and Nat were struggling a bit and Loki wasn't doing all that much to help.

"I said stay safe," Thor said as he looked at the sword's entrance point. "I'm gonna pull it out," he said but I stopped him.

"The sword is currently blocking 60% of the bleeding. If you remove it she will lose more blood quicker." I said loud enough for then all to hear and Thor's eyebrows furrowed.

Tony and Peter went to keep fighting, giving (Y/N) and Thor a glance every now and then. "Thor, if you remove the sword, it will be over quicker," (Y/N) said, being very calm about the situation she was currently in. "It's alright Thor. I promise everything is going to be alright," She said softly.

"Thor, removing the sword will mean (Y/N) leaves us sooner but so will her pain," I added not really knowing why.

Thor shook his head lightly and cradled (Y/N)s face. "No, that's not happening," Thor muttered and a tear fell down his face. "We can save you," Thor added but I knew the chance of (Y/N) surviving this was incredibly slim.

"Thor, please, get it out. It hurts," (Y/N) whimpered and Thor shook his head. (Y/N) had tears in her eyes but she didn't let them fall. "Please," She added and Thor's hand moved to the sword's handle.

"I don't want you to leave me," Thor said and (Y/N) put her hands on his cheeks. She planted a kiss on his forehead and then put her hands on the sword too.

"It's alright. It'll be okay," (Y/N) said and helped Thor pull the sword from her torso. If (Y/N) was in any pain she hid it well because she held a weak smile the whole time. "I love you, Thor," (Y/N) muttered with a single tear falling down her cheek. Once the sword was removed she fell into Thor's arms.

"You'll...be...okay," (Y/N) muttered and closed her eyes. Thor laid her on the floor and tapped her cheek softly.

"(Y/N)! Wake up! Please wake up, (Y/N)!" Thor yelled and tears dripped down his face onto the floor. "(Y/N)!" He yelled but she was gone.

Thor's teary eyes turned electric blue and his fingers began to sparkle. Mjolnir flew into Thor's hand and a storm thundered above them. Thor turned to face the beast and he scowled. "You killed Lady (Y/N)!" He screamed and a huge bolt of lightning struck the beast, burning him to a crisp instantly and momentarily blinding the Avengers. Thor then struck lighting down on any remaining attackers he saw movement.

Once the dust cleared and the storm calmed down slightly it started to rain. Thor, along with the other Avengers, walked over to (Y/N)s body which was laying on the floor in a pool of blood with a single tear on her cheek. Thor picked her up and held her in his lap, stroking her hair lightly.

I would have cried if I could but I couldn't so I didn't. I checked over her just to see the full amount of damage she has sustained when I found something... unbelievable. The faintest of faint heartbeats. "Sir, she has a heartbeat," I said to Tony who immediately went to Thor.

"She may be saved," Tony said and Thor picked (Y/N) up and carried her inside. Everyone rushed to see if she would be saved or not. It was all on Tony and Bruce now. (Y/N)s life was in their hands.
