You pick up the violin from its stand, running your finger over its strings. The smooth wood glides over your rugged fingers as you smile. You've always wanted to learn how to play. You pretend to play the instrument as you close your eyes and imagine playing in an orchestra.
"What are you doing?" Sherlocks voice breaks through your thoughts as you jump slightly, almost dropping the violin.
"Oh, uh. Nothing." You reply quickly, a slight blush rising on your cheeks. Lowering your head in shame, you move to put the violin back.
"Wait. Did you want to learn how to play?" He asks, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. You've never seen him act so nervous before. You give him a small smile as you nod. He moves towards you. He places the violin in your hands correctly, moving your arms to the right posture.
"Press here." He moves your finger to a string, making you push down on the string. He stands behind you, placing his hands over yours as he begins to play the violin with you. His hot breath fans across the back of your neck as his chest presses against your back. You try to stay calm, attempting to keep your heart at its normal beat.
He moves your fingers across the strings as he continues to help you play. Beautiful notes echo throughout the apartment. All too soon, the piece is over and you're lowering the instrument. Sherlock doesn't step away. Instead, he moves his hands from yours to your waist.
"That was almost as beautiful as you." He whispers in your ear. You blush at his cheesy comment, feeling uncomfortable with this side of him. He's never flirted with you before.
He moves his left hand up your side and to your hair, moving it to the other side as he presses soft kisses against your shoulder. You lean into him, enjoying the feeling. He leaves a trail of kisses going up your neck to your cheek. He turns you around and stares into your (E/C) eyes. Then, he leans in and slowly kisses you.
You could definitely get used to this side of him.
