the rest of the school week by with a blur. y/n still couldn't get over the fact that she was now a stand user nor could she actually summon the stand fully just yet. she was still somewhat annoyed and hurt that jotaro had left her abruptly like that.

speaking of the devil, she hardly saw him nor kakyoin that week. whenever she did, he remained as far away and avoided all eye contact and it almost felt like they never talked or interacted at all.
maybe she was just overthinking it all, he had no obligation to talk or interact with her after all.

however she just couldn't help but feel a little confused and somewhat hurt over the fact.

'this is exactly why i should stay away from people like him.' her brain reminded her. y/n couldn't help but sigh out loud. "what's got your panties in a twist?" shelly's voice brought her back to reality, "nothing really, just thought of something bothersome." y/n muttered, forcing a smile.

shelly raised a questioning brow before taking a sip of her coffee, "i get it, this week has been so tiring." she groaned, kicking a pebble out of her path as they walked down the busy street.

"what do we need to get again?" y/n questioned as she reached into her pockets, searching for the items list they made earlier in class. "uh, off the top of my head, definitely gloves!" shelly replied, looking around the colourful shops.

"i'm so excited for this trip, i love the snow." y/n exclaimed excitedly as she finally felt the piece of paper, pulling out the list. the teacher had reminded the class that it would be extremely cold in the mountains especially overnight and gave them all a list of items she recommended them to get if they didn't already own some already.

so here they were, friday after class, the two girls making their way through the bustling city of tokyo on their quest of retrieving these items.

"should we get some ramen after we get everything?" shelly asks suddenly, y/n heard her stomach grumble out loud in response. both girls started laughing out loud at this, "well, my stomach definitely agrees."

"welcome back." y/n's mother greeted the girl as she walked through the front door.

"hi ma." she greeted back with a smile, placing all the shopping bags she was carrying down and started removing her shoes.

"i'm a little busy, would you mind taking your brother out and playing with him for a bit? he's been moaning all day about getting out." her mother asks as she swiped some sweat off her forehead, a pleading look in her eyes.

y/n raised a brow at her request but smiled, "yeah sure. where is he? we can go now if he wants?" she spoke as she started slipping her shoes back on again.

"i love you. thank you hun." her mother smiled a smile of relief, "b/n! come on hunny! your sister is going to take you out to play now!" she called up the stairs. seconds later both women heard loud excited stomps ascending down the stairs, the little boy raced down the stairs, skipping the last step and jumping down to the bottom. a bright smile plastered across his face, his eyes filled up with happiness as he spots his older sister.

"Y/N!" he cried out, jumping into her arms. y/n chuckled as she steadied her feet on the ground from the weight of child, wrapping her arms around his small form.

"alright, let's go!" she said as the young boy planted a kiss on her cheek and nodded happily.

their mother smiled at this adorable interaction.
