voices of excitement filled the air as the teenagers chatted outside the bus stop.
y/n arrived a little later than expected after her little brother made a huge fuss about her leaving, she had to keep reminding her it was only for three days.

"y/n!" shelly's voice reached her ears, y/n adjusted her bags straps before making her way over to the cheery blonde.

"hi." she smiled as shelly wrapped her arms around her for a quick hug. "when we get on we should try getting the seats near the back! those are the best!" shelly said as she pointed towards the bus, y/n had to agree with her on that one.

"good morning ladies!" kakyoin greeted the two as he approached them, jotaro not far behind.
y/n had never seen the two wearing anything else but their school uniforms, however today kakyoin was wearing a dark green sweater paired with washed out jeans and a crème coloured scarf wrapping around his neck. jotaro was still wearing his hat and usual outfit, but switched out his signature purple tank top with a black turtleneck.

"since we are doing the project together we should also stick together on this trip." kakyoin suggested as he put his duffel bag on the ground, both y/n and shelly nodded.

y/n tried her best to ignore it at first but she couldn't help but notice the nasty looks the girls were sending her and shelly's way. as soon as the largest group of girls noticed y/n looking their way, they immediately started whispering amongst themselves. y/n shifted uncomfortably on the spot.
noticing group too, shelly leaned in close by y/n's ear, "they must be wondering why their jotaro and kakyoin are standing close so us." she whispered.
y/n giggled as she whispered back, "oh no! we are standing too close to thee jotaro and kakyoin, we have to die now!"

shelly pulled away from her laughing, "honestly, let's just ignore them. they are dulling the mood." she said. y/n looked away from the group and nodded, a strange heavy feeling of uneasiness never leaving her chest.

"alright class i'll just quickly take a roll call and we will be off!" the teacher called out.

as soon and shelly and y/n got onto the bus, the two raced towards the seats near the back. "you can take the window seat on the way there and i'll take it on the way back?" shelly suggested and y/n nodded with a smile before shuffling her way into the seat.

"how childish." jotaro spoke as he and kakyoin placed themselves into the seats behind the two girls.

"yet you still took the window seat, kujo." shelly retorted, making a face at him as she turned around.
"yare yare." he muttered before turning to look out the window.

"hm, that's what i thought." shelly said with a smirk before jotaro turned to her, glaring. "you're starting to get on my nerves, bitch."
before shelly could send another snarky comeback kakyoin spoke up, "come on guys, the ride is going to be at least three hours, we can't have you two bickering the whole way there." y/n nodded in agreement as she looked worryingly between the two.

"fine." shelly huffed out as she turned back around, arms crossing her chest. jotaro grunted, brows furrowed as he once again turned to look out the window.

y/n and kakyoin made eye contact, he shrugged his shoulders with a smile and y/n snuffled a laugh as she nodded back in acknowledgement.

it's been almost two hours into the ride, or what y/n thought so anyways. she had lost track of time while looking out the window at the changing scenery, the walkman playing soft music into her ears. looking to her side and smiling softly, shelly had fallen asleep a little while ago and was leaning against her shoulder.
