You may not known what is it about but it's a New Year of Meitei community.

Most importantly there has to be rice and champut too.

And when we offer the dishes, it has to be in odd.

After finish eating we will climb the nearby hill and pray to Umanglai (God of  hill, forests). But when my teacher taught us (5 grade) as according to the name i.e. Cheiraoba, chei means stick and raoba means shouted, screams, together means we climb up the hill with the help of stick and shouted as a part of our celebration.

Our Manipur has many communities and Meitei is not the only one who celebrates this festival, some other also celebrated this. Some other also join us like we joined in their also to be more colourful.
