11. Mix

'If my Dada was sent to the US and cut all the ties with his family, then how come we were in London... I mean there is no picture of my birth mother too... I must talk to dada.'

With that thought, he starts walking toward his father's room. After opening the door, he saw his Dada lying on the bed hugging a photo flame.

"Dada, Can I come in..." Bright asked as he knock on the door to get his father's attention.

"Oh, Bright come in... What happens, huh? Did you have trouble sleeping?... Come to a night of sleep with Dada...." Pete said as he pats the side of him so that there would be space for Bright.

Bright walks up to his father's side and hugs him and rests his head on his Dada's chest and slowly speaks,

"Who is my father, Dada? where is my mother? What is your real name Dad"

Pete is shocked as he heard the Bright question, "Baby... Bright... How are you... Talking about...?"

"Tell me, Dada... I already read this diary..." With a sweet, calm voice Bright said as his face is still on his father's chest but take out the diary from his back.

"Baby ... Did you really read it?"

"Yes Dada, now tell me..."

Pete was about to speak when  In enters the room,

"Oh, nice timing Pluem. Come..." Pete said with a smile and pay the other side of the bed indicating for him to sit.

"Pluem? Is Uncle In New brother?" Bright asked with shock, it was really unexpected to him, "Dada, you are Off right?"

"Your Uncle In is Pluem and I'm New..." Pete said a little helplessly.

"Then you cut tie with Off and his son too?" Bright said with a little sadness.

"Bright baby, I'll tell you everything but give me some time, okay? So for tonight let's sleep together, Dada is very sleepy and tired, okay?"

With that, the small but happy family drift down to sleep. Hugging Plum and Bright in his arm by New. These two is the most important person in his life.

It's been a while but New doesn't say anything about it, also Bright didn't pursue him to talk. Today Kaothang and his father will be back from London and Bright was super excited about it as he was eager to tell everything.

It's morning and everybody is doing their duties when Kaothang and his dad, Foei come with gifts in their hands. Seeing Kaothang, Bright runs toward them and hugs Foei and sits in the living room checking the gift.

"Oh him!! You back Foei? Did you visit him?" New said excitedly while hugging the elder.

"You brat!! I'm still older than you!!" Foei scolds him, "Yes I did... You should go some time. His an..."

"I know..." New interrupted him, " and I'm planning to visit him too... And bring them too..."

Hearing New word both Bright and Kaothang stop their movements and look up at the two elder,

"Visiting who...?" Bright said.

"Who what?" Before New and Foei answer Pluem who cooks breakfast in the kitchen come out.

"Oh hey, brother Foei. You come back? Didn't you buy anything for me from London?" Pluem pouts, seeing Foei's empty.

His family and their family which includes three of them were neighbours in London so they were so close to each other. Foei was one son but his wife was dead. So Pluem is always the one who takes care of them as Foei and New go work.
