18. Son?

Bright and Kaothang are sitting in the living room with the man in his Dada's age with the woman from earlier when the wife of the said man is preparing tea for the guest.

"So..."

"Oh sorry, I'm Bright and this is Kaothang. We are here to meet Mr Tay." Bright introduces themselves at that time the woman comes in with cups of tea. After serving the teas she sits down next to her husband.

"I'm Nicky and this beauty is my wife, Mary." He introduced and kiss the woman name May on her cheek and continue, "But Tay is not home. He went to walk."

But the two younger looks at them shock that Nicky had to clear his throat to gain his attention which he had been succeeded,

"And this is Kapook, she..."

"I'm Tay's girlfriend, the soon-to-be wife." The woman earlier said which the rolled his eyes. Bright feels extremely sad which makes Kaothang happier.

"Don't show off... So you two are...?"

"You two... How? I mean, you two always quarrel and now get married?" Kaothang asked.

"Drunk sex." Neem sighed but Nicky raised his eyebrow and asked,

"Who are you? How do you know about us?" The two students look at each other,

"My father is Foei and New is his."

"So he is indeed married." Nicky let out an airy laugh and start shouting,

"GET OUT!! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!! I DO WANT A SON OF A SELFISH PERSON IN MY HOUSE. AFTER WE GO THROUGH... I can't believe he did this. You two go. Go NOW!" Neem tried to calm his husband.

"Uncle I'm not his real son, please calm down." Bright is crying and kneeling on the floor with his hand clapping, "Please hear us out."

"I think you two should..." Neem speaks up but Bright interrupted her, "Aunty read this..." He said giving his Dada daily to the confused couples who took and start reading.

"So... It's..." Neem is crying after reading the daily and Nicky is trying to calm her.

They had been friends from their diaper period but they never know New went through this. His stepmother is always good to them when they visit that's why they don't believe what he told them.

"Please Uncle, Aunty please help me," Bright said still sitting on the floor, kneeling for the past hours. Kapook is already gone during this time, Kaothang too after getting a call."

"How can we help you? And one more question if you don't mind..."

"What is it, Uncle?"

"Who is your... Parent? I mean..."

"Off. My Dada's elder brother Off is my father."

"Oh... So where...?" Nicky tried to question again but Neem stop him when he saw his sadness of the younger.

"Bright get up, son." She helps him and let him sit on the sofa but Bright answer the question, "he is dead already. I don't even remember him."

"I'm sorry." The couple said which Bright only smiled sadly.

"So tell us what help is it that you need from us?"

"I want my Dada and Mr Tay to be together again. My Dada is hurting and keeps getting nightmares which walk up by shouting for Mr Tay. He cried mist of the night by looking at his picture. It's painful for a son to watch and sit still. And he tells me about his regret for not telling you guys goodbye and..."

"Why doesn't he look for us these whole years?" Nicky asked.

"He received an invitation of Mr Tay's marriage with Aunty Mook so..."
