It was almost noon and I needed to get up. I grabbed a gray sweatshirt crop top and some pants before grabbing a towel, heading to the bathroom. As I finished showering, I put a few braids in my hair before tying it up in a high ponytail. I walked out and I heard a knock at the door. I walked to it and opened it, seeing a blonde Irishman. I let him through the door.

"How did you know where I live?" I ask him, greeting him with a hug.

"Liam gave it to me," Niall answered. He turned around. "Lovely home you've got here!" He said. I smile.

"Thanks!" I said, walking to the kitchen. I jump on the counter and face him.

"I hope you're hungry!" Niall said, clapping his hands.

"I'm always hungry. And considering the fact that I woke up like half an hour ago." I said. Niall laughed at me.

"Well, grab some shoes and let's go!" He said. I smiled at him and jumped down. I grabbed a pair of shoes from my closet before walking out.

"You don't have to do this, Niall! I'm fine, really!" I reassured him. He nods.

"I know. Just giving you company. And judging by the look in your eyes, you aren't really okay as much as you say you are." I look up at him. How did he know my look?

      "How did you-"

"I have the same look. It's pretty easy for me to find!" He said. I swallowed.

"Wow, maybe we're more alike than I thought," I mumbled, tying my shoe. After I finished, I grabbed my keys and my phone, and Niall and I walked out of the room.

"So how was touring scheduling going?" I asked him. Niall just shrugged.

"Alright, I guess. We kinda just started yesterday." He said. The elevator door opened and we walked out into the lobby.

"Ought to guess that today is your off day?" He nodded.

     "Mhm!" He said.

"But how did you get here if the guys have the car?" I asked him.

"Our drummer had use our other car because his broke down. So when he got it fixed, he gave us back the car."

"When did that happen?" I ask as we walked outside where it was too bright for my liking.

"Yesterday." He said simply. I nod as we get to his car. I get in and he drives off to a diner that was a few minutes away from the apartment.

"A1 diner!" I said, smiling brightly.

"I love this place!" Niall and I said, simultaneously. We looked at each other. "JINX!" We both yelled. I laughed as we both went to knock on the window since we had no wood. I shook my head.

"Well, that wasn't creepy at all!" Niall said. I nod in agreement before we both get out of the car.

"Wouldn't be the first time!" I mumbled to myself again. Niall came around from the car and we walked up to the restaurant. We entered the door and got seated immediately in a booth.

After ordering our drinks, Niall began a conversation. "So, what's your story? Who is Kayla!" He said, using his hands as extra emphasis.

I laughed. "I'm really an open book. Just a songwriter and music producer." I told him.

"Have you ever thought about singing professionally?" Niall asked. I look at the table before picking my eyes up, shrugging.

"Not really. Writing and producing was my passion from the start." I explained.

"Who have you produced music for?" Niall said before taking a sip of his water that was placed on our table.

"Ed Sheeran, Adele, Beyonce-" as I said Beyonce, Niall swallowed and began choking. My eyes shoot wide and he sets the glass down. He punches his chest and I put my hand out across the table. "You alright?" I ask, trying not to laugh at his face. He nods.

"You said Beyonce!" He said. I then let my laugh escape. I then nodded.

     "Yes, I've produced for Beyonce."

"Isn't she under Columbia Studios or something over in New York?" He asked, wiping his mouth with the napkin I handed him.

"One, it's Columbia Records," I said laughing. "Second, yes. I had gone down to the U.S. for some years, producing in some of the record labels." I explained. He nodded.

"Okay, continue on!" Niall said. I laughed again.

"A few more I produced for. But it's been quite a rush." I finished.

"If only you could become a songwriter for us, we'd hire you full time." I chuckled at that compliment. The waiter made his way over to us, taking our orders. After he left, I asked Niall about his story.

"So, what part of Ireland are you from?" I asked. I grab my glass of water and sip it before I started choking myself at his answer.

"Mullingar." I set the glass down and tried to catch my cough.

"How ironic!" I said. Niall gives me a confused look. "I was born in Mullingar," I told him.

"I can barely hear your accent!" He said. I nodded.

"Well, I moved down here when I was young. I kinda got the hang of the English accents. It's weird but it kinda faded." He nodded.

"I thought I'd be used the English tones. But I'm not." I chuckled at him.

"It takes quite a few years. It took quite a few for at least." Niall pointed at me.

"Now I can hear it!" He said. I laughed at him and he did as well.

"So, how's life been in the band?" I asked as our food came to us.

"It's been great! Our first two albums hit number one in the charts sonic kinda interested in how Midnight Memories will come out." I nod. For them starting three years ago, their careers have taken off to crazy heights.

"Looking for your third number one album?" I asked, putting a fry in my mouth after.

"You know what they say, three times a charm!" He said before winking. I smiled and proceeded to my meal.
