I had stayed in the room since then and Zayn had left me alone. I didn't want to move but I did. I grabbed the pictures and closed them in the book and walked out of the room, across the hall to Niall's. Knocking, he called for me to enter.

"Hey, you have a minute?" I ask him. He nods and I closed the door. "I have something to tell you."

"I do too." He said, getting off the couch and walking to his bed. I walk to it and set the book down before looking up. "Niall," I hesitated. "I think... I think you're my brother." Niall turned to me immediately.

"I was gonna say the same thing." He said. "How did you figure it out?" I opened the book and showed him the pictures of how Zayn and I found out. "Does anyone know?" He asked, looking at the pictures again.

"Zayn does. He helped me." I told him. I sit down on his bed as Niall is in disbelief.

"Then, this is it. We've found our way back to each other." He said, looking up.

"But we don't have full proof, Ni," I said. He nodded and I laid down as we talked about this more. As I laid on my side and he sat at the chair across from his bed, I spoke up after put silence. "Niall, what's your middle name?"

      "James." He said. "Why?"

"Greg told me I got my last name from your middle name," I told him. He picked his head back up and looked up.

"Kayla James," he said out loud. "I never noticed that." He said, chuckling a little and I did as well. Tomorrow was Sunday and I had a thought.

"Niall, tomorrow, we have off. Why don't we go take a test."

"A DNA test?" He questioned. I nodded. "Why can't we just call our parents?" I sit up.

"There must have been a reason they never told us about each other. I asked when I was 14, 16, and 18. I got nothing. Nothing from mom, nothing dad. Not even Greg would say a word. You got the same thing. And you think they'll tell us now, after all these years?" I ask him to get him thinking. These past years have been rough for the both of us, trying to find one another, not realizing we'd been living with each other for now three months. Every time I asked about him, Dad would turn me down. He never would answer my questions about him. And neither did mom. Niall got the same thing growing up and still does.

"You're right." He said after giving it thought. "Wanna go early morning. Around 7?" I nod and Niall grabbed his laptop and came to lay next to me on the bed. We searched up DNA testing offices and found one that wasn't that far from us. Niall scheduled it and closed his laptop. "If this turns out positive, what does this mean?" He asked me on a serious note. I gave him a soft smile.

"It means that after nearly twenty years, I finally have my other half back!" He returned the smile.

(Next Morning)

I woke up and had a quick shower before changing into my outfit. I walked out of the room, sliding my phone in my back pocket, and head down the stairs quietly, trying not to wake the others. Niall was in the kitchen drinking breakfast.

"You ready for this?" He asked, passing me a shake. I shake my head.

     "Not really," I admit.

"Why not?" He asked as I sat down next to him.

"It's a lot to handle. If this comes out positive,  this is going to be surreal! But at the same time, a bit weird." Niall nods and agrees.
