Liam slipped the paper in the envelope and handed it to me, standing up. "Are you sure this will work?" I ask him. "This is risky!" I told him.
"It is. However, I don't want you to give up that real song." I gave him a weak smile. He's too generous. I love this guy. "Now trust me. This will work. I'll be in the lobby watching. I won't let him hurt you, trust me on that!" He said, holding my face. I nodded.
He lets go and I put the envelope in my back pocket and grab my jacket. We exit the room. "We'll be right back!" I told them. "If you want anything, help yourself to anything." They all nod and we went to the door. Wow, no questions? Usually, they would be. I'm glad they didn't though. I didn't feel like explaining. I opened the door and we walked out. As we got to the elevator, Liam put on glasses and lifted his hood. I just stared at him.
"What a disguise!" I joke. He smiled at me and the elevator opened. We walked out and into the lobby. I didn't see his car so Liam took a seat on the chair.
"You see him?" He asked. I shake my head.
"No. But he better get here quick." I said. I then saw his car pull up. "Never mind. There he is." Liam stood up.
"You'll be alright. I'm right here." I closed my eyes and nodded. "Go!" Liam gave me a light push and I walked to the door. I pushed open the doors and walk into the dark parking lot.
"Seems like you follow orders, James!" Danny said, smiling. I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever."
"You have my song? If not, you can always join me in the car!" He said walking to me.
"I have your song. But I have a deal of my own." Danny nods, allowing me to continue. "I give you this song, this is the last one you will ever get from me! I am sick and tired of not getting the credit I deserve and I am mostly sick and tired of your bullshit!" I said. "You take this song and never come back to me." Danny looked at the concrete.
"Wasn't the plan, girl!" He said.
"Accept or no song!" I said, standing my ground. Danny then nodded.
"You've got yourself a deal!" He said. Danny put his hand out and I put the envelope in his hand.
"Read it when you leave." I told him. Danny removed the flap and pulled up the paper, opening the top part of the paper, revealing the title. He then nods again and slips it back in.
"Good girl!" He said, backing up to his car. He got in, closing the door before driving past me. I close my eyes and sigh. It's finally over!
(Liam's POV)
I stayed sitting so Danny wouldn't see me. As I kept a close eye on them, I saw him walk closer to her. I stand up, walking forward a bit. "What are you doing, buddy?" I mumble to myself. He was not going to touch her, and I was going to make sure of that. They had a chat before she handed him the paper. I took a deep breath, hoping I wasn't going to ruin anything. This better work.
He walked back to his car and drove off. Kayla stood there for a minute. I took my glasses off and flipped off my hood. Kayla turns around and makes her way through the doors. "Did it work?" Kayla nods.
"It sure did! Only cause I bribed him with a deal of my own!" She told me. I winked at her.
"That a girl!" I said, placing my hand on her head and she hugs me.
"Thanks for helping me, Li!" She said. I smiled at her as she releases me.
"Glad I could help!" I said. "And you know what, he's gone. So let's go back upstairs and have a good time, okay?" She nodded we walked to the elevator and went back up.
