(Zayn's POV)

"Sir, please! We need you to stay back!" The cop told me trying to stop me from fighting. I was trying to run to the apartment doors and get out of his grip but there was no use.

"No!" I cried. The cop threw me back a few feet and I stopped struggling. Not knowing what to do, I scrambled through my pocket for my phone, calling Louis. Pacing and trying not to pull out my hair, Louis's cheerful voice rang through the phone. "What's up Zayn. Hungry now?"

     "LOU!" I cried.

"Zayn, what's wrong! Are you okay?"

"KAYLA'S APARTMENT IS ON FIRE! LIAM RAN IN TO GET HER AND THE FLOOR EXPLODED!" I cried again.

"WHAT?" He asked in disbelief. "Is he okay? Is Kayla okay? Where are they?"

"I don't know. I'm freaking out, man!" I told him.

"Okay, hold on! We're on our way. Just calm down!" The line went dead and I threw my phone back into my pocket and looked up. Come on Liam! Come out!

I heard a few cheers and hands clapping. I brought my head back down as Liam walked out the door, Kayla in arms. I ran past the cop that stayed a few feet away from me and ran to Liam.

I tried my best to be gentle but I threw my arms around the both of them. "Are you okay?" I asked him. Liam laid his head on my shoulder before I released the hug.

"Yes. We both are." Liam said. I look at Kayla and her arms are around his neck and her face is laid on his shoulder, almost hiding in the crease of his neck.

I put my hand on her back. "Oh, Kayla!" I said, rubbing my hand against her back. A stretcher made it's way to us and paramedics told Liam to set her down. So he did. I grabbed Liam and he hugged me again, tightly. "You scared me!" I cried softly into his jacket.

"I'm sorry!" He apologized. "I was able to get off her floor before it went boom!" I laughed at his emphasis and released him.

"You should probably go with Kayla. And get yourself checked out. Are you sure you're okay? Lungs? Kidney mostly?" He nodded. "Are you sure!?" I asked one more time, my mom instincts kicking in.

"I'm fine, Zayn! But I'll go anyway. The keys are in the car. Meet us at the hospital." I nod, hugging him once more before running back to the car. I open the door, grabbing the keys from the seat. Starting it, I grab my phone and call Louis.

"Are they okay?" I heard Harry say.

"Yes, they're both out. But meet us at the hospital. I'm right behind the ambulance." I told him. Realizing the phone was on speaker, I heard Louis answer and Niall saying something in the back. Answering their questions, I end the call and continue to follow the ambulance.

(Minutes later)

I was pacing in the lobby of the hospital as Louis, Niall, and Harry burst through the door. "Where are they? They okay?" Harry asked. I turn to them and they all wrap me in a hug. I then nod as they release me.

"They're fine. Liam's getting checked and Kayla was taken into a room." I said. "Liam's down the hall. I was waiting for him. Come on!" I lead them to the wait room outside of his curtain and we wait a few minutes for him and the nurse to walk out. It wasn't long before we all swallowed Liam in a hug.

"How's your kidney? You're lungs alright?" Liam nodded at Louis's questions that seemed to be asked over five times.

"They did a few tests for me and I'm all good. Now, where's Kayla?" He asked.
