Tapping your foot impatiently on the ground, you looked around the mall for Emma and Hina. They promised you to meet at the dress store at 9 AM, before all of the nice dresses sold out.

You were ready so early this morning, excited to find a dress for your first date. You weren't sure if it really counted as a date, but that didn't matter. You still got excited just thinking about it.

Knowing Hina and Emma, the two were probably sleeping in their beds, with their alarms off. You knew they were heavy sleepers too.

You sighed and began to walk into the store alone, not sure whether or not you would be able to find the perfect dress for the festival without help.

The store was almost completely empty, which wasn't surprising being so early.

There was a large selection of dresses with a variety of different colours, designs, prints, and fabrics. The more you looked at them, the more similar they began to look.

You hopelessly shook your head and muttered to yourself.

As you began to look through the dresses, your hand met someone else's when you went to grab a dress that caught your eye.

You looked beside you to see who it was, and you were surprised to see a face you knew.

"Mitsuya!"

"Hi y/n! What are you doing here so early?" he asked you with a friendly smile.

"Emma and Hina promised to help me find a dress, but they both slept in and now I'm here alone! I don't know what I'll do" dramatically, you stated.

Glancing over, you saw him laughing.

"I can help you find one if you want! I was only here to look for some inspiration anyways"

"What do you need Inspiration for?" you asked him curiously.

"Oh I haven't told you! I love to sew and design clothing!" he beamed with a proud grin.

"Really? That's awesome! You'll have to show me your work sometime" you replied, but you began to laugh, "If I'm being honest, I didn't think someone who's part of a gang and is always beating people would be capable of such intricate motions with their hands. You must have pretty skilled hands then!"

Mitsuya paused and looked at you for a moment, before he began to blush.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Your eyes went wide with realization and the two of you burst out into laughter, causing the other customers to glance over.

"Don't tell anyone about that"

"I won't"

"What about this one" you said, holding up a green dress in front of you.

"Absolutely not."

You groaned and continued to scan through the rack. Mitsuya was quite picky with the dresses, but you kept hope that he would find the perfect one for you.

"Ooh, this one!" you beamed with excitement as you held up another okay dress.

"That one will clash with the tone of your skin."

"This one?"

"Too boring."

"What about this?"

"The way it's sewn together is odd"

"This one has got to be good"

"Are you kidding? That one is too flashy"

I sat down beside him on the bench and closed my eyes. This was so much harder than expected. You watched as Mitsuya stood up with his hands in his pockets and a grin on his face.

He walked slowly around the store carefully looking at each dress, making sure to keep you in mind to think of what dress you would look nice in. He wouldn't settle for anything less than perfect.

Only a few moments later, he came back with a dress in his arms and a proud face.

"You need to try this one on"

Mitsuya's POV:

She walked out from behind the curtain and I immediately knew everything was perfect.

I had picked out for her a dark blue yukata with a white floral design on the fabric.

She looked beautiful in the dress.

I couldn't help but smile when I saw how happy she looked, looking at herself in the mirror.

"It's perfect Mitsuya. How will I ever thank you" said y/n as she spun around.

"It's nothing, I'm glad to help"

She ran over and gave me a quick hug, which I returned immediately.

"Wait! You can't forget the obi. You tie it around your waist." I explained as I grabbed the long piece of red fabric.

I tied it around her waist making sure not to hurt her. I finished it off with a nice bow at the back.

"Perfect"

We admired her dress for a few seconds longer, but I'd wanted to ask her something from the moment I saw her in the store.

"So... who are you trying to impress?" I asked seriously, but I couldn't help but giggle.

She turned around embarrassed and pouted.

"Oh come on y/n please tell me!" I pleaded as I held onto her arm"

"I'm not trying to impress anyone!" she was lying. I could hear it in her voice.

"It's Mikey isn't it?"

She didn't answer this time and I knew I had guessed correctly.

"You two obviously have something for each other. Everyone see's that except for the two of you." I said to her, and it was the truth.

"I don't like him!"

I shook my head and watched as she walked back behind the curtain. I stood on the other side and spoke to her as she changed.

"I've known Mikey for a long time, and he's never been interested in anything like love. It's clear you're special to him"

She didn't respond. Maybe she was thinking about Mikey.

She came out changed back into her regular clothes and grabbed my arm.

"Let's shop a bit more! You're going to the festival too right? Better get ready!"
