The church on Christmas day shone brightly on the outside with bright lights and colourful stained glass. Fluffy, fresh snow flurried outside to create an ideal winter holiday scene.
On the inside of the building, new red blood stained the carpets and walls. Bruised and bloody bodies moved slowly to stand on their feet and dust off their torn clothes.
I scanned the room to for a girl with long, soft strawberry blonde locks and her school uniform still on. I caught a glimpse of Yuzuha struggling to stand and immediately ran over to help her once again.
"y/n!" she shouted as I ran towards her and helped her up. "I can't thank you enough."
"Don't thank me. You were the brave one, really." I point out. I noticed as her eyes moved to look behind me where Mitsuya has begun making his way over.
"You earned my respect Yuzuha." he says as he takes my spot to keep her standing up. She only smiles in response.
As I stroll back towards where Mikey stood, I feel a sudden grip on my shoulder. I turn my head and my eyes are met with the determined blue ones of Takemichi.
"y/n?" he says with a certain relief.
"... Takemichi? What's wrong?" I ask with confusion. He doesn't reply. Instead he takes me by surprise and hugs me so tight that my arms are trapped by my sides, leaving me unable to hug him back in any way. He pulls away rather quickly and awkwardly scratched his head. I couldn't help but laugh at the boy.
"It's nothing! I'm glad you're alive! Sorry it's just-" he speaks quickly before I cut him off.
"I'm glad you're okay too, Takemichi." I say. He smiles and opens his mouth about to say another word, though he quickly changes his mind and begins to grin again.

With Mikey's somewhat bloody hand in mine, we made our way to the tall doors revealing an army of defeated black dragon members. Only one person remained standing, their back turned to us on the top step by the doorway. It was an all too familiar back profile. The blonde braid and trace of black ink on his temple gave it all away.
"You did this Draken? Every single one of them is down!" Takemichi questions in shock alongside everyone else. He turned around with a bright smile and winked playfully.
The fresh snow still continued to fall and a smile arose on my own face to see everyone smiling and happy for the first time in a while, despite most of us having bruised faces and scratches all over. Even Mikey wore a bright smile at that moment. He turned to me still grinning and lowered his head by my ear.
"Look, Takemitchy is crying." he whispers. I quickly look over to see tears welling in his eyes and I can't help but laugh. Chifuyu seemed to notice it too, and immediately takes hold of his wrist and begins to pull him down the icy steps.
"Come on! Let's go celebrate, you crybaby."
The two were the first to leap and run into the snowy scenery and onto the street. No one wasted any time and immediately chased after them to catch up, all of their laughing and voices in the distance. Only Mikey, Mitsuya, and an injured Taiju remained with me at the top of the church stairs. Perhaps it was now time to go home.

"Where do we go from here?" I ask Mikey with worry. There truly was no where for me to return home to.
"I really wish I could stay by your side but it's far too dangerous. It'll do you more harm than good to stay with me." he explains. "Kisaki's proven himself to be smarter than we thought. Understand?" I nod in response.
