(Kenzie's POV)
I closed my locker door as the bell rang for my last hour. Calum came up to his locker a few feet from mine and he grabbed his backpack out. "Leaving early?" I asked, walking up to him, my History book in my hand.
"Yeah, I'm moving."
"Oh, right, I forgot you told me about that," I said. "I thought you were just moving houses, not....further?" I asked.
Calum grabbed his black beanie and slid it on his head. "I am," he said with a chuckle. "My mum wants to move closer to an old friend she knows. And we're moving in today so, we have to move quite a lot to start with so my sister's picking me up early." I nod.
"Okay. Well, I've gotta get to class. See you Monday!" I said before he waved at me and we walked our separate ways. I head down the hall and up the stairs for my History class. As I was walking up the last row of stairs, Daniel met me halfway down.
"Hey, babe," he called. I looked up and smiled at him.
"Hey," I said back as he grabbed my wrist. "I can't hold up for long. I have to get to class."
"I know. I just haven't seen you much today. I missed you," he said, leaning down to kiss me but I push him away.
"That can wait till later, okay?" I said before kissing his cheek. "That's all you can get," I said and laughed. Just as if it were a queue, Bray came running down the stairs. "Take him, or else I'm late!" I told him. Bray laughed.
"I got him, Kenz. Go on," Bray said, letting me up the rest of the steps. I ran down the hall and rush into the classroom just seconds away before the bell rang.
"Woo!" I sighed in relief.
"You made it," my best friend, Zoey said as I set my binder and text book on my desk.
"You could have made it late and not get caught. Teacher's not even in here." Michael pointed to Mr. Hart's desk and it was empty. I turn and look back at him.
"Wow...I really could've," I said, sitting down.
"Yeah, it'd be even funnier if he was right behind you," Roy said, laughing. I stuck my tongue out at him and mocked him.
"Alright, sorry I'm late. Now, open up to our last page in chapter seven. We start now, class is free for the rest of the day," Mr. Hart told us as we all flipped through our books.

I stepped out of the car and closed the door. Dina, Zoey's sister, was kind enough to take me home today. As I walked up to my driveway, I pulled my keys out of my backpack pocket. When I got past the tall bushes, I saw a huge moving truck outside in front of the house next door to mine. I stopped and looked at the house and the truck before walking to my door, unlocking it, and stepping in.
"I'm home!" I called, closing the door behind me.
"Hello!" My mum called from the kitchen. I walked in and hung my key on the hook.
"Hey, I didn't know we were getting new neighbors," I said, setting my backpack on the kitchen chair.
"Yeah, I forgot to tell you about that," my mum said, closing her business portfolio. "Are you finishing your brother's room today?" She asked me after I closed my notebook.
"I was hoping to, yeah," I answered.
"Well, I'm pretty sure he's coming back home soon, so go ahead and finish it. Paint and stuff are in his bathroom." Nodding, I leave the kitchen and walk upstairs to my bedroom. I walked to my closet and change my t-shirt for a black tank top. Walking back into Marcus's room, I grab the stool and set it up. I put my Rock Band CD into the stereo that consisted of Daughtry, Ashes Remain, Nickelback, and some others and played the music as On My Own by Ashes Remain began to play.
Singing along to the music, I grab my paintbrush and begin to paint the top trim of the wall blue.

"Kenz!"
"Yes?" I called back to my mum. The door opened and looked around the room as the blue trim was nearly done.
"Wow, gettin' there, aren't ya?" I nod and set the brush down.
"Yeah, but I have to extra coat the tan with the roller before I start to draw the cameras around the walls." Marcus is my older brother and he loves cameras. One of his favorite hobbies is photography. So I decided to draw out cameras around the room.
"Well, you can do that later. Take a break," she tells me.
"I was going to," I said. I stepped down from the ladder and go to the stereo.
"Hey, I want you to do something," my mum said. I looked back up at her. "Go next door and ask the neighbors if they need any help. I'm gonna go pick up your dad before I start dinner."
"What happened to dad?" I asked her, wiping my hands with a towel.
"His car broke down so I need to pick him up." I shook my head.
"I told him to get a new car," I said and mum laughed at me.
"Will you go, please? I'll be back in twenty minutes," she said.
"Alright, I'm going," I said. I turn off the stereo and walk out of the door and back to my room. I grab my pink jacket and zip it up halfway before leaving the house behind my mum. I walk through the grass and walk onto the driveway and up the sidewalk to the patio. I knock on the door and wait for the answer.
As the door opens, I see Calum standing in front of me. "Calum?"
"Kenzie?
