I returned the following week to school and our school projects were due on Friday. November was coming to end soon and the presentations were due at the end of next week before November ended. The three of us ended up getting a free day for once during our Study Hall, so we decided to go down to the library and finish our poster. We were each doing one portion of the poster. While Michael and I worked on our parts of the poster, Calum was on my laptop, writing out his one page for our report. I was about to glue my final picture to the board when Calum called for me to do my paper.

"Give me just, one second," I said, making sure I glue the picture on straight. Calum flipped through my notes. Once I was done, Calum and I swapped spots.

"I pulled your notes up." Thanking him, I sat down and began to write my draft I wrote out in my notebook. As I was lazor focused with my paragraph, Michael began to talk again. He's been starting all of our conversations when we got quiet.

"Just out of curiosity Kenz, have you talked to any of the boys from dick head's friend group?" I chuckled at that. Since Daniel and I broke up, everyone has been calling him dick head. And I have a couple times because I can't seem to remember his name either sometimes.

"Bray came up to me to see what was going on and Landon has just passed me a few times asking how I was but that's about it," I told them.

"Damn, not even that Sam chick?" Michael asked. I shook my head.

"Nope. I'm surprised I even heard from Landon if I'm honest."

"I'm not surprised by Bray," Calum said.

"I'm not either. But I think he cut ties with Danny. I haven't seen them talk all week," I told them. Michael cackled.

"Even his best friend thinks he's a dick." That made Calum and I snicker as quietly as we could.

"Mike, shut up. We're in the library!"

"So? It's not church!" I rolled my eyes at Michael's comeback and indented for my next paragraph.

Roy sat down next to Zoey as Luke found a seat next to me on the edge as we were all eating at lunch. "Are you guys going to the winter formal?" Roy asked, digging into his food.

"I didn't even know we were having one," Luke said next to me.

"I was gonna go, but now I'm just not sure," Calum stated on the other side of me.

"It is coming up. But I haven't even figured out what I wanna do," I told them.

"We all could go together," Michael suggested. "I don't see why not."

"Yeah, I was gonna go shopping this weekend. We can make it a family trip," Zoey said.

       "Sounds good to me."

"I'm in!" Luke echoed after Roy. "Besides, what do you even where at a winter formal? I've never been to one," he asked.

"It's kind of a semi-formal dress attire. Little less fancier from a homecoming," I explained to him.

"So you could literally wear a button up shirt and nice jeans and call it a day," Zoey added. Luke looked us. He seemed like he had no clue how to make that work for him.

"Yeah, I'm gonna need your help guys," he said, making me laugh.

(Calum's POV)

It's been a few hours since lunch and we were in our last class of the day: our favorite class of History with Mr. Hart. I got to his classroom early and he allowed me to sit in here during his prep period last hour since I didn't wanna go to gym class.
