Jessica's P.O.V.

"Okay. Jessica and Zach, you two can go." I had been discussing the whereabouts of Erica for about an hour. I told them everything I had seen.

Walking back to my room, I came across another adult. He seemed to be in his late twenties, and had the features of someone who smiled a lot. "Hey, you're Jessica aren't you?"

"Yes, and you?"

"Oh, I am the angel and demons teacher for the eighth graders and freshmans. I've heard a lot about you!"

"Well, nice to meet you, uh..."

"Mr. Quinn"

We walked down the hallways, discussing things such as what we would be learning in class, and the habits of other creatures. I was especially interested in the ways other creatures communicate. I liked Mr.Quinn. He was much more approachable than Mr. Dubet.

We took a lap around the school, because I didn't want to go to my dorm yet , but soon, we had to split.

"I will see you Monday, Jessica."

"See ya!"

I walked to my dorm, for the second time, passing by the hospital wing. Zach came down the stairs in front of me. He simply pointed over my shoulder. Stopping in my tracks, I looked over my shoulder. Amelia was there, and she looked pale. Like, really pale. I knew instantly what was happening. Damon, the demon standing next to Amelia, was stealing her soul.

I ran up to them, and showed my true form. (Don't worry, Amelia's eyes were closed.) Damon fainted, and I changed back. I could've killed him, but I wanted to hurt him. I knew in that instant that I was turning human, but It didn't natter. It happens to all angels who are banished. They are still angels, they just develop feelings. I checked on Amelia. Thankfully, she was okay. I contacted the principal, and she, with the help of a janitor, took Damon up to her office. I was given the task of taking care of Amelia.

I brought Amelia to our dorm room. She was now conscious, but barely. Sadly, all I could do was wait for her to get better. I picked up a book, and started reading.

Amelia's P.O.V.

I woke up to find myself in my dorm, and Jessica was reading in the corner.

"What happened?" I asked

"Not much. Damon tried to take your soul"

I shrugged, looking at the clock. It was three a.m. . "Hmm. Wait, have you been up all night?"

"Yes, I have no need for sleep."

"You NEVER sleep?" It was Jessi's turn to shrug. "So... anything else happen?"

"Not really. I met my evening class teacher. He seems really nice!"

"Great, I heard mine is incredibly boring. oh well. I'm going back to sleep. Wanna eat breakfast together?" I asked. Jessica smiled.

"Sure, see you in the morning."

"Hey, maybe you should try sleeping, its pretty amazing!"

"I suppose I could give it a shot."

The next morning, around seven, I woke to find Jessica laying in her bed, with her eyes wide open. "Umm, did you try sleeping?"

"Yes, apparently, it's harder than it seems, especially when you have no need of it."

I laughed. "Well, maybe you need to practice!." This time, we both laughed. I think this was the first time I didn't want to be as far away from Jessi as possible. She's actually pretty cool.

I got dressed, and ready for breakfast, and we both went to the mess hall together and ate. "So, what do you wanna do today?" I asked. This was our first weekend at the school, and we were free to do whatever we wanted.

"Umm... hang out in the greens?"

"Sure!" As we headed out, I noticed the girl who was shouting for Erica sitting alone, looking depressed. "Hey, we're heading for the greens to hang out. Wanna come?"

"Sure." She didn't seem too enthusiastic, but she looked a shade happier. We headed to the greens, expecting a fun, sunny afternoon. Sadly, we were not going to get that.
