WISTERIA GREENBLOOM won the sixty-ninth annual hunger games at the age of sixteen, being one of the very few now living victor's in District Nine. However, she felt confused and terrified, knowing that she has to kill people to win. She had tried so hard, too hard not to, and it was eating her alive, both inside and out.

Wisteria couldn't help but bite her fingernails down to the nail beds, a habit she gained after her games finished. Despite that, she tried hard to stop it, and trying too hard just made it worse. She felt broken, too broken beyond repair.

The Capitol wasn't having that, though. They considered Wisteria a very beautiful girl, and they figured they could sell her body to their citizens. They tried to quickly coax her into fixing herself, but she wasn't having their shit. She defied them and angered them, making them lose their patience.

So, what did they do? Well, they believed that if they could get one of the victors who had seemed to experience similar pain and get over it alone to help her, she'd finally listen. This victor was Finnick Odair from District Four, the youngest living Victor in The Hunger Games' history. Surprisingly, when they first introduced Finnick to Wisteria, the male victor had requested for the pair to be alone. But the Capitol didn't care what he wanted, as long as he fixed Wisteria so she could be used for their citizens once again.

Finnick had let Wisteria pour her heart out then and there, and he listened for the entire time. His expressions changed to what she was saying, he didn't seem bored with her. In fact, he seemed interested. Why? Well, it was similar to what he had experienced at first. Just..different, as well. They both had nightmares, but when Finnick tried too hard get rid of them, it worked. It was the opposite for Wisteria, and so this is what Finnick had decided in the end.

Let them see your imperfections, Wisteria. Those nightmares you're experiencing are trying to make you not believe in yourself any longer. So instead of hiding in the dark, embrace them.
