22. Sleep over

General Pov:

Jude and Connor walked in to the dinning room and sat across from each other. Ms. Stevens came out of the kitchen with three plates of food it had asparagus steak and potatoes. "This looks lovely Ms. Stevens thank you" Jude said grinning. "Well aren't you the charmer" Ms. Stevens said to Jude. "Thanks mom" Connor said through a mouthful of potatoes.

Dinner goes on without a hitch. Witty banter is exchanged and all in all Ms. Stevens gets to know Jude and ends up thinking that he is a great person.

Once dinner was finished both Connor and Jude washed the dishes Connor washing, Jude drying. While washing the dishes Connor couldn't help but not keep his eyes off of Jude. "What?" Jude said smiling at Connor." Nothing" Connor said smirking to himself. "What?" Jude said again. "Nothing" Connor said still smiling. "Fine you wanna play it like that" Jude said jokingly. He then took the drying rag he was holding and whipped it at Connors thigh. "Oww" Connor said. "Tell me or I do it again" Jude said jokingly while winding up the rag. "OK...OK Jude calm down.." Connor said calmly he then grabbed the other rag and hit Jude with it.

Jude and Connor hit each other back and forth until Connor gave up." OK you wanna know what I was thinking" Connor asked Jude while sitting on the kitchen floor. "Yes" Jude said smiling. "I was thinking about how cu-... how you should sleep over" Connor said remembering the rules.There was a silence for a while before anyone spoke. "OK" Jude said. "What" Connor said. "I said OK I'll sleep over" Jude said looking at Connor. "OK let me just tell my mom then" Connor said awkwardly while getting up to go tell his mom. In the meantime Jude texted Lena to see if it was alright for him to sleep over.

Jude: Hey mom I just wanted to let you know that I'm gonna spend the night at Connors.

Lena: OK that's fine stay safe and don't let the bedbugs bite.

Jude: OK thanks bye.

Lena: Bye sleep tight.

A while later Connor came down the stairs. "Its OK with my mom its just we'll have to fend for our selves in the morning because she's leaving for work early" Connor said. "OK, so what do you wanna do?" Jude asked."We could finish that movie or we could play video games" Connor said not really caring which one they did. "I'm kinda tired so could we just watch the rest of that movie?" Jude asked. "Yeah sure that would be cool" Connor responded.

Jude and Connor then went back to the living room Jude sat on the couch while Connor set up the movie. Once they started watching they both started drifting off to sleep so they decided to go to bed.

"I guess I'll take the couch" Jude said through a yawn. "Or you could sleep on the pull out mattress under my bed" Connor said with a lazy yawn. Jude replied "OK" and they both went to Connors room. Jude helped Connor set up the mattress then they both got ready for bed. Connor lent Jude some clothes then went to the bathroom to brush his teeth, Jude finished changing just as Connor walked in. They both lyed on the beds thinking about all that had happened today Jude more than any was thinking about what he heard Connor say while they were on the couch before dinner. "Hey Connor" Jude said quietly. "Yeah" Connor said half asleep. "When we were on the couch earlier did you...never mind" Jude said not wanting to screw things up with Connor. Connor went wide awake when he heard Jude reference the couch but didn't question it in case it was after dinner. Both stayed awake for a while then drifted to sleep.
