28. Grieve

General Pov:

After everyone recovered they all went to the foster's house. Jude went out side to get some fresh air , Connor followed. while everyone else went to the kitchen to order some food for dinner.

No one really spoke for a while everyone still in shock and puffy eyed. Mariana was still crying to herself.

"Come here" Stef said to Mariana, then engulfing her in a hug. Later everyone else joined in. Once they were finished Lena grabbed some take out menus to order food.

Jude and Connor were outside Jude was looking at the stars while Connor was looking at Jude. Jude was emotion less.

"Jude" Connor said.

Jude looked at Connor.

Connor understood that Jude didn't want to talk. He scooted over and gave Jude another hug. Then went inside to say goodbye and go home, deciding that it would be best if Jude was alone.

Jude's POV:

After Connor left I started thinking about how I felt. I guess I was still in shock it just doesn't feel real to me Jesus dead no. He can't be dead he just off at college I convinced myself. I was in denial. It was one of the many things I was still in denial about the second being Kyle and I breaking up. I looked at the stars trying to count them. I got to about forty before I lost count and was called inside for food.

General POV:

Everyone came inside and ate in the kitchen. There was pure silence except for the sniffles of Mariana and the clanking of silverware. Trying to get everyone to talk Stef spoke up.

"You guys I miss him too. how are you guys feeling?" She said.

"Like I just got half of me torn off" Mariana said.

"Like I fell down a hole and can't get up" Brandon said.

"Like this family is missing a part" Callie said.

It circled around passing over Lena it was my turn to speak, all eyes were on me waiting for words but none came. Eventually everyone finished their food and went to the living room except Lena and Stef.

General POV:

Lena was washing the dishes when Stef came up behind her.

"Honey you don't have to do that well do it tomorrow" Stef said to Lena

Lena continued washing the dishes.

"Honey come on its fine" Stef said.

"No, Stef its not were not fine we just lost a son today" Lena said breaking down.

"I know, but doing the dishes isn't going to help" Stef said.

"No it offers a distraction so I don't have to think about it" Lena said scrubbing a pot.

Stef gave Lena a hug and Lena started crying into her shoulder. They both ended up joining the family in the living room. They all ended up sleeping in the living room, not wanting to be apart.
