30. Silence

Connor's Pov:

I woke up this morning sad because of Jesus, then I remembered how Jude was yesterday and how he just looked so blank.

I walked over to Jude's to go see how he was doing I knocked on the door. I was greeted by Lena. She looked awful she had puffy bags a red nose and was still wearing what she was yesterday.

"Hey Connor" She said trying to be happy.

"Hi Lena I came to check up on Jude" I said.

"Ok I'll go see if he's awake" She said.

Lena went up the stairs. I heard the door open and it let out the sounds of muffled crying. At first I was horrified by the sound then I felt bad. I looked around and saw that everyone else was gone. Eventually the crying stopped and what was left was sniffles. Shortly after Jude and Lena came down stairs. Jude's eyes were puffy and his nose was red and his cheeks were tear stained. Once he came down I wrapped him in a hug, for a while he just stood there not reacting to the embrace but then I felt the light squeeze of his arms around me.

After we pulled away from the hug I asked him if he wanted to go to the beach he shrugged. I took that as a yes, and we went to the beach.

Once we got there we both sat in the sand. Jude was playing with the sand while I was staring at him. Looking for clues as to how he was feeling.

"Jude?" I asked.

He looked at me with a blank face.

"Can you speak to me" I asked.

He still just looked at me with a blank face.

"Jude please say something did I do something wrong" I said worried.

Jude just sat there and looked at me.

"Please say something" I pleaded starting to feel my voice shake.

"Please Jude" I said my voice breaking.

I scooted over to Jude and touched his hand.

"Jude please I wanna hear your voice, make sure that your ok please speak to me" I said tearing up.

Jude sat there and looked at the sand.

" Please Jude... I love you please speak to me I don't care if you feel the same way or even if you hate me please just speak to me" I said feeling tears roll down my cheeks.
