Part 49

Kie and I are currently sitting in her bedroom, passing a weed pen back and forth as we wait for Sarah to get here. After my most recent conversation with Rafe, I decided I wanted to run the idea by the girls and see what they think first.

We eventually hear a knock at the bedroom door, "Kildare Country Sheriff Department, hide the drugs!" The door swings open and Sarah arrears, holding up finger guns. Kie and I can't help but laugh at her goofy act. She comes to join us on the bed after suppressing her own laughter. "What's up, guys? Are we having a girls night?" She asks excitedly.

"I don't know, this was Liv's idea." Kie says, they both move their attention to me.

"It's been way too long since we've had a girls night! I also have something to tell you guys and I need you both to be completely honest with me." They wait for me to continue. "Ok, so... umm. Sarah I don't know if you know any of this yet, but Rafe is buying a house." I pause.

"Yeah! Him and my dad were talking about it at dinner last night."

"Well... he may have asked me to move in with him." I admit, scratching the back of my neck nervously.

"Wait, what?!" I hear from Kie.

"Oh my gosh, that's so exciting!" Sarah gushes.

"I told him I would have to think about it, though. I don't think I can leave the boys."

I see Kiara's face and she seems to be contemplating. "Where is the house?"

"Figure 8."

"Okay, so it's what a 5, maybe 10 minute drive from the chateau?"

I shake my head yes.

"Do you really see yourself living with your brother and his best friend forever?" Sarah asks, making a valid point.

"They are the only family I have left. I mean you guys too, and Pope of course, but you know what I mean. How could I just leave? And I have to be there to help out."

"Liv, pretty much your whole life you have been taking care of the boys. You guys are almost 19. At some point you are going to have to start thinking about your future and what you want." Kie explains.

I let out a sigh as I take in what the girls have just told me. Maybe they were right but there was still a part of me that was unsure.
