-Ranboo POV-

School was over so Tubbo and I left the classroom, I noticed he seemed kind of nervous and down so I thought of something to cheer him up. "Hey Tubbs, do you maybe want to go for an ice cream right now?" He looked up at me and I saw his lovely smile return for a moment. That was taken from me not much later tho. "No sorry I already have a... thing I have to go to. I have a biology project with Beatrice." "Oh that's unfortunate, maybe tomorrow?" I asked him hopefully, he gave me a smile and nodded. "Yeah that sounds great." By now we were at the school gates so we waved our goodbyes and parted ways.

-Tubbo POV-

On my way back home I couldn't get Ranboo and his gorgeous face out of my head. I don't get why his father would ever say that to him, he messed up Ranboo's whole self-perseption.

I got to my door and greeted my sister. I went to the sofa to wait for Beatrice so I pulled out my phone to pass the time.

After about 10 minutes I heard a knock so I went to open the door and was met by Beatrice. She looked kind of excited? I don't know why though, it's just biology.

"Hey there," I greeted her cheerfully, "you can come in, take a seat at the dining table, will you?" She nodded and went to start up the project at the dining table while I went to get my laptop.

We sat next to each other and I started to do some research, for our subject we chose bees because apparently we both had it as our favorite animal.

We started having some small talk while doing the project and we made a whole lot of process. The more I talked to her, the more I actually liked her, she was a nice girl and she deserved so much better then what I am using her for.

She started moving closer and closer towards me until we were basically pressed against each other. I looked at her and she looked back at me. We were now separated by inches and I could feel her breath mingle with mine.

"Toby, I-" she started. "Sorry, I can't do this." I pushed myself away and stood up from the table. "I'm so sorry Bea, you are a really nice girl and I am just acting like I have a crush on you and you deserve so much better and-" She cut me off, "Tubbo, it's okay. Just calm down and explain what you meant by that 'crush' thing."

I took a deep breath and started to explain. "So... you seem trustable I think? You know this guy called Ranboo? or Mark?" "Oh yeah, he's kind of quiet but he seems okay." "Yeah I have kind of befriended him and I now... kind of have developed a crush on him? Tommy and Dream can't know though so when they found out I had a crush on someone I just said your name so now Tommy is trying to match us."

It was silent for a few seconds but soon Beatrice burst our in laughter. "You really went like 'hmm which girl would be convincing to have a crush on? Ah yes. Beatrice'" By now she was almost choking on her own breath. "I mean, I'm flattered but really? That was your plan to hide it?" By now I joined her laughter, I was glad she thought it was rather funny then weird. "Can you promise not to tell anyone though?" I asked. She looked at me dead serious, "I promise on my cat's life that I won't tell anyone. Believe me, that's a very serious promise." I gave her a thankful smile and we finished up our project.

When we were done it was already 7 pm and my mother was preparing dinner. We asked if Bea could eat with us and my mum agreed. Her dad would pick her up after food. While waiting for dinner to be ready we went up to my room and talked a bit about random subjects.

"Soo, when did this little crush of yours start?" Bea asked me with a grin, I rolled my eyes and sighed. "I really don't know, I guess I figured out I had a crush on him when I went to one of his volleyball matches, I couldn't follow the game because I only had eye for him." She smiled widely, "Aww that's so sweet. But why are you so scared to tell your friends?"

I looked towards the floor, "They have been bullying Ranboo for a while now and I don't want to lose my friends by some stupid crush." I explained. "If you ever want to talk a out it or any other things you can't tell your friends for whatever reason, I'm here. I'll bee your 'vent-friend' or whatever." We both shared a laugh and mum called us down for dinner.

We went to the dining table where my sisters and my parents were already seated, I sat next to my mother and Bea, and in front of us were seated from left to right my dad, Lani and Teagan.

We all had a lovely evening and at the end Beatrice's dad came to pick her up. We waved our goodbyes and I went back inside. I was smiling because I had made a new friend, but  my parents probably saw that differently.

"So, that girl was very sweet wasn't she Toby?" My mother started with a grin. My dad continued, "Yea, I think you finally have found someone with potential." He winked after me after saying that. Fuck. Should I tell them I'm gay? Or should I just go with it?

I looked at Lani for help as she was the only one who knew. She gave me a reassuring nod and I sighed. "Mum, dad, I swear there's nothing between Bea and me, and there never will be." I squinted my eyes and took a deep breath, "Because I am gay."

For a few seconds there was nothing but silence, I still had my eyes closed.

But then I felt a pair of arms wrap around me, and another pair. I opened my eyes and both my mum and Teagan were hugging me. Lani was also on her way.

I looked at dad and he still had a shocked expression, but when he saw me looking, his expression softened and he came to us to join the hug too.

"I'm so glad you told us Tobes." Teagan spoke. "I'm sorry we made that assumption about you and the girl." Mum continued. "And I am so so proud of you you had the guts to tell us, you're a very strong man Toby." My father said.

My eyes were starting to tear up and mum heard me sniffing so she hugged me tighter. This ended way better then I ever imagined.
